Have you tried "acupuncture" and or moxibustion? It is really effective for fibromyalgia pain

I had my 2nd surgery (w/ Dr. Feng – I love her) done to remove all the capsule (that Dr. Melmed left in). Dr. Feng is truly a fantastic surgeon but she doesn’t seem to know why I am burning still. I am 2 months out and still my arms and chest are burning, hands have deep stabbing/electric shock and my eyes still burning, aching, pinching. I am getting desperate after a year and ½ of burning. I am trying different ways of detoxing but nothing much helps. I get a little better then worse again. I feel I’ve gone no-where and all the while I am still sitting in scalding hot water. I can’t see the light through the tunnel. I asked my husband to help me “let myself go†yesterday. He wouldn’t do it. I hate being a burden on my family. I love life but there aren’t enough pain-free times to outweigh all the

good very brief moments. It’s a constant struggle.

Does anyone know if this fibromyalgia place is legitimate produces real results? Please look at this site and let me know your thoughts. I appreciate you all so much.

you poor thing - i feel for you -what are you doing for detox? have you tried sauna? i'm thinking maybe the heat too, will help the pain. i also heard recently red lite and ifra red lite therapy is good for pain - sorry i cant tell you where to go to get this tho - unless infra red sauna might qualify somewhat. a paper article i read some while back listed a harry whelan, m.d.. at medical college of wisconsin does lite therapy, but dont know if bad pain, but he might know who does.good luck - let us know how you're doing.

Hi,

I'm glad to hear your good report of Dr. Feng...but so sorry to hear that you

had to have another surgery to remove that capsule! How much capsule was left?

And especially sorry to hear that you are struggling with that burning pain.

I've known a number of women who have suffered with this symptom, and it is hard

to know what exactly is causing it. It is certainly some kind of neurological

damage or irritation.

I can vouch for this Fibro and fatigue center. Daryl, on our group, has been to

the one in Las Vegas and she had great results with treatment with them. I say

great results, in that she was given attention to all of the hormonal areas, and

she was able to conceive and have another child, but she did still have to take

pain meds. The last time that I saw her, which was only a few weeks ago, she

was looking great, but did mention that she still took pain meds.

So, I think it is worth a shot...

I do know another woman who got off all her pain meds totally, after being

somewhat addicted to them. Her outlet was exercise, and that seemed to enable

her to get completely better. She still exercises like crazy all these years

later and has remained symptom free.

Is there a good acupuncturist in your area?

They may well be able to take it down a notch or fully.

From my experience with various pain and shooting electric-type zap issues, it

would be worth trying.

I am in and out of my wonderful acupuncturist office for various things.

I have found it very helpful.
