Guest guest
I use coconut oil daily, but I find it is too drying to use on my skin. Eczema can be related to dietary allergies. My eczema seems to come from oxalates in my diet. Other people have other foods which cause their eczema. Guest guest
I had a chronic patch of psorasis that cleared up after about 3 weeks of CO. I also had an eczema patch but it didn't respond to CO. I ended up getting a prescription cream from the doctor and it helped a lot but it is still there. I'm surprised that you haven't noticed an energy boost. I once took a tablespoon at night and couldn't sleep! Maybe your body adapts better or doesn't react the same? Or maybe you could tolerate more than me. Guest guest
: I've only been using VCO for about 6 weeks, and I, too haven't noticed any immediate and startling benefits.However-I' m " rebooting " my system after having had penicillin basically napalm my digestive system--and since I have no appendix/gall bladder (removed 20+ years ago) my reserves of good bacteria are also gone. I HAVE noticed that I feel a bit better, digestive wise--could be VCO, could be other stuff. But-VCO doesn't hurt me; makes my hemorrhoids (thanks to penicillin) smaller/less painful. RE: your eczema-have you been tested for food sensitivities or allergies? Also, try going on the yeast-free diet. I also think " having more energy " is maybe more a guy thing than females? We have so much more going against us-and if you happen to have spouse/children/pets/job---you name it, energy is a scarce commodity! But again, it could be food allergy issues. Don't give up! Guest guest
, I don't notice much effect when ingesting vco. However, the only thing i notice is that i get less cold and cough and flu unlike before. It seems to shield me from illnesses. When i feel a cold coming about, i take vco and moringa tea and my runny nose would stop in less than half an hour and does not return. > > I am new to the message board; hope I'm not rehashing an old subject. > I have been taking 2-3 T of VCO daily, along with using it on my skin, for about a month. Guest guest
I understand what you are saying about Coconut oil drying the skin, I have noticed that too, but when I first put it on my face, it looks and feels very moist, but later on I find that it has absorbed, but doesn't feel moist as it did. As far as other benefits from taking it internally, I haven't noticed too much, other than it sometimes gives me more energy and has helped me with my bronchitis. I think you just have to keep taking it.I know one thing, I don't want to lose weight, and so far I haven't gained any which is what I want to do. I noticed a difference in energy the very first day, but I do wonder if you are getting enough vitamin B's. I am the wife of a naturopathic doctor, and I know from personal experience that vitamins B's are extremely vital for energy/stress. The only problem with Vitamin B is it is hard for the body to absorb through the stomach. Particularly Vitamin B12 but all of the B's are vital. That is why I get a vitamin B shot about one or two times a month. But I also want to make sure you know that refined sugar and flour will zap your energy, in the long run, faster than just about anything. So try to cut them out of your diet completely. I know this is hard, believe me I have cut them out of my diet but it is a daily struggle. It gets easier with times and experience but sometime I feel like I am a little tiny gold fish in a pool of sharks. I would suggest looking into a liquid Vitamin B at your local health food store, if you cannot get the shots. Good luck in this adventure we call life. Guest guest
http://www.naturalnews.com/029120_coconut_oil_hair_conditioner.html(NaturalNews) If you're looking for a deep hair conditioner that's chemical free, look no further than virgin coconut oil. Coconut oil is one of the best hair conditioners around and if it's virgin and organic, it's chemical free. Coconut oil can literally bring softness back to your hair - and part of its power lies in its disease fighting medium chain fatty acids. Coconut oil's unique fatty acids have a very small molecular structure and just as they can pass freely into the cell of a virus to destroy it, they can also pass easily into your hair's cell membrane. This allows the nourishing oil to penetrate your hair's shaft - and literally brings deep conditioning from within. While other conditioners work from the outside in, coconut oil is able to work from the inside out.Another key benefit of coconut oil is that it contains plentiful antioxidants to protect from free radical damage, including heat and environmental damage. Most commercial conditioners use processed vegetable oils that actually create free radicals and are completely stripped of their original antioxidant power.Massaging the oil into your scalp is powerful too. Coconut oil is nourishing for your scalp and because the oil is a natural antifungal, coconut oil can offer relief from dandruff conditions. Dandruff is often caused by an internal fungal condition that reaches the scalp, called candida overgrowth. With regular use, coconut oil can kill the fungus in the scalp and dandruff issues can be eliminated. Then, you can say good-bye to chemically oriented dandruff shampoos that - like all chemicals - add to your body's toxic burden.Because coconut oil readily absorbs into the skin, when it's applied to your scalp, it also absorbs into your blood for a quick dose of a powerful natural antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial - and one that germs and bugs don't build immunity against. Most people would agree that that's not a bad thing to be doing regularly in the days of super bugs and regularly compromised immune systems. To enhance this effect, you can also use the oil on your entire body instead of chemical-based lotions. Just apply a little head to toe after your shower, rub it in, and let it absorb a few minutes before toweling off.For deep hair conditioning, use a teaspoon or two on damp hair and leave it in as long as possible. A few hours is helpful but if you leave it in overnight - or even a few days - you'll really start to see results. This deep conditioning can be done as often as once a week and you may need to wash your hair a couple times to remove all of it. Know that coconut oil can stain fabric though, so be sure to protect your clothes and bedding.More:http://www.coconut-connections.com/...http://www.coconut-oil-central.com/...The Coconut Oil Miracle, Bruce Fife, C.N., N.D.
