Guest guest
, thank you, I will read this very carefully, because I would love to come off of this drug. I was on Decadron for a few years, and that is similar to chemo, or is it? The baking soda was mentioned to me before, and I think that I will try it...love you. Yesterday, my mouth was burning so badly that it made me worried. It might be a yeast infection, but I am on antifungal drugs. Today, I think that I will increase the dose. Love you always...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``` Re: OSTO D2 VITAMIN 50 000 IU PER DAY: This seemed quite a good overview of BTS;http://www.colgate.com/app/Colgate/US/OC/Information/OralHealthBasics/MedCondOralHealth/DryMouth/BurningMouthSyndrome.cvsp If odd things stump my western doctors, I take them to my Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist. You may have seen it all already.Baking soda helped my sore mouth during the chemo months.Hugs of support, M. Guest guest
Lea ~ Decadron is a glucocorticosteroid, but is used with chemo What Decadron Is Used For: As an anti-inflammatory medication. Decadron relieves inflammation in various parts of the body. It is used specifically to decrease swelling (edema), associated with tumors of the spine and brain, and to treat eye inflammation. To treat or prevent allergic reactions. As treatment of certain kinds of autoimmune diseases, skin conditions, asthma and other lung conditions. As treatment for a variety of cancers, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. To treat nausea and vomiting associated with some chemotherapy drugs. Used to stimulate appetite in cancer patients with severe appetite problems. Also used to replace steroids in conditions of adrenal insufficiency (low production of needed steroids produced by the adrenal glands). Guest guest
Thank you, Darling Dede: I was so sick at that time that I would have taken anything. I know that he found out that I was positive for MGUS, and he might have wanted to stop it before it became full-blown myeloma. He had me on Biaxin and Decadron which is used in the treatment of MM. Thank you sweet Angel....love you....Lea and Superman ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Re: OSTO D2 VITAMIN 50 000 IU PER DAY: This seemed quite a good overview of BTS;http://www.colgate.com/app/Colgate/US/OC/Information/OralHealthBasics/MedCondOralHealth/DryMouth/BurningMouthSyndrome.cvsp If odd things stump my western doctors, I take them to my Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist. You may have seen it all already.Baking soda helped my sore mouth during the chemo months.Hugs of support, M. Guest guest
Hello Lea ~ I am sure there were multiple reasons you needed it then, and am so glad you are better now than you were then. I have to take steroid inhalers now for my lungs..... so that it will keep them from gettin worse...so I know how it is having to take things you might rather not. I do feel better and can breath better now that I am on them....and will have to be for life, as it looks right now...unless they come up with something better. Much Love to you both !
