Guest guest
Hi Aletta, Originally I am from Maastricht, but having grown up there, I'm not as big a fan as the average tourist...19 years there was long enough. I lived in Amsterdam as well for a couple of years during my student years (I'm 31 now) but I had to move when I wanted an apartment of my own: the rent they ask there is still unbelievable, so I came to Rotterdam. Compared to Amsterdam, this place is so dead. As soon as I earn enough to be be able to afford it, I'm going back to Amsterdam. The Doelen is a plus, though, and yes, they do still hold those free concerts there. I actually 'discovered' them a month or two ago and have been going there weekly with a girlfriend, but last week was the last one until october Has anyone got any clue why theaters & concert halls tend to close during summer? I worked at a theater & I still don't understand! It's funny to hear you were (are?) working in the Arts, as I did that myself. For a short time (two projects) I worked at MAPA (Moving Academy for Performing Arts) in Amsterdam, which organised summer schools in Berlin for begining professional theater makers & I went to the Utrecht School for the Arts & studied Arts Management there. About the tapes: making mp3 files out of them is no problem. I can also make realaudio files & put them online so people can listen to them without downloading everything at once. Segmenting them would be a good idea with both, for easier downloading with the mp3 files and easier listening with the realaudio files. There are even other, even smaller formats specifically suited for voice-only. I have my own server, so anything is possible. Let me know! Best wishes, Marcel > Marcel; > One thought per week, or only one you dare write about? You said you lived > in Rotterdam? Guest guest
Aletta I`m 55 and was going through menopause when my symptoms started.I was on hormone replacement and was advised by my Respirologist to stop taking Progesterone because it is a respiratory stimulant .(I have problems with my co2 receptors and so tend to get episodes of s.o.b.) perhapts this will help pre menopausal women with SDS/MSA who may be considering hormone replacement and also get s.o.b. Thanks for your ideas on keeping my brain exercised! Marg. You have to make these things up to suit, match latin names to your garden plants, buy a book of brain teasers. Studies have shown with alzheimer patients those who use it still lose it but much more slowly. Be patient, fill in the akward brain fog patches with humour, not frustration (does not alwys work). As my universe collapses ever smaller, I respond by making my smaller universe more intricate, which really compnsates to a very great degree. At this rate my universe should be on the purely molecular level in a couple of years (works for Hawking).Marcel; One thought per week, or only one you dare write about? If it is lengthy it could be segmented..I'm going to keep mentioning this until I get some answers -what does MSA do to a woman's reproductive system, I even contacted the authors of Out Bodies Ourselves, nothing. I can't be the only one who has ever had to tackle MSA and being pre-menopausal female - let's just consider what menopause can do to a normal woman let alone one with an out of whack autonomic system. If you cannot perpire how do you deal with hot flashes - or do you simply not get them? Who would have the best overview, the neuro, endocinologist or a gyno?Anyhoo, should get some sleep. Guest guest
Ok all just so everyone knows according to Timo's definition: I don't do crack and I am not a lesbian. Therefore I am not a crackpot.
