Guest guest
Helene: I'm with you. I'm not embarrassed in the least. Sometimes I do the salad and appetizer thing myself. The times I order an entree is when I'm at the local cajun restaurant. Can never pass up crawfish diablo. Take a few bites and bring the rest home to Tim. He loves it hot and spicy too. (get your minds out of the gutter people!!!) I do however, on a regular basis, have a server come over and ask me if everything is alright with my meal when they see how much I've left. Tell them everything is fine, just eating light. One waiter felt that I wasn't being truthful with him and didn't charge us for my dinner entree. I tried to convince him it was fine, but he wouldn't let us pay for it. I have more problems dealing with food at home than I do out. Hit the lazy back to the old habits phase a few months ago. Just clawing my way out now and am feeling better mentally. Thank goodness there was no significant weight gain. I've been playing with the same 3-5 lbs for months now. Take care. Guest guest
This is a very interesting thread. What I usually do when we go out is either order a small salad and an entree and then doggie bag what I don't eat home and eat it the next day or if my daughter is with me, her and I will share a meal. She's not into the hamburgers or chicken nuggets - she likes the pasta or the seafood or the meats. I will order a salad which we will share and then order an entree and ask for an extra plate for her. I have never had a problem with a restaurant doing this. Infact, they thinks it's a great idea. I am one of those people who loves leftovers. I just think that most food tastes as good the second time around. My husband doesn't always agree with me, though, so I don't have to worry about him eating my leftovers. Sometimes I have gotten three meals out of one entree, depending on what it is. It's amazing to me how much food is put on your plate in a restaurant. Before wls, it didn't seem like much, but now it's a ton. The one place we haven't gone to since my wls is a buffet. I haven't found one yet in our area that will let me eat as a child and I don't eat enough to justify spending $8-9 on my meal. And most buffets won't let you doggie bag, so we just don't eat at them. Our favorite is the seafood places and the italian places. Guest guest
You eat MUDBUGS????? And here I was so worried about your physical well being and it was your mind I shoulda been worried about!!! ------------------------ Ahh yes, I do eat mudbugs, but only under certain conditions. I only eat the tails and only after someone else has taken off their tiny little shells, cleaned them and cooked them for me in diablo sauce and serves them to me. I do have my standards you know. You got me. I like shellfish. There I said it. I like clams, shrimp, crawfish and crab legs. Won't eat lobster though. (you don't want to know). Whew, I feel so much better that I'm not hiding that fact anymore. Sorry to tell you , people have been worried about my mind long before I ever found this list. I'll just add you to the growing number. Actually, I like my mind where it is now. I'm comfortable here. Have a great day. Regina

Guest guest
I love leftovers, too. As a single person, I rarely cook and tend to either eat out or order take-out quite a bit. I love it because one meal does often end up being 3 meals. Besides, it just always tastes better when somebody else cooks.
