Guest guest
Problem is, I haven't driven much of anywhere in a while. My family is so overprotective that the first thing out of my daughter's mouth was " You're NOT driving to Indiana. " Want to bet??? Never, but never, tell me what I am NOT going to do! My middle name is stubborn, I figure it's what has kept me going so long - sheer stubbornness! So, what is half way between us? I'll do some investigating and see what we can come up with. It would be so nice to meet someone with the same problems, after all, with only 188 (approx) of us world wide, what are the chance of just running in to someone? Question: are you off I65? I KNOW where that is! And I even think I could find it - better yet! Let's work on this OK? LOL, Judy

Guest guest
Ruthann, that works for me, when would you like to meet? (anyday but Tuesdays (chemo day), I also have dr appts on 3/23; 3.28, 4/3; 4/4; 4/19 - that's it so far. Can you work around any of those dates? Thursdays' would probably be best for me. How would that work for you? Let me know! Love, Judy
Guest guest
Lu, I actually know someone even more stubborn than I am! My Husband! He doesn't fight, he doesn't argue, he just waits - knowing full well that it will drive me NUTS! Well, at least we don't fight! Guest guest
Well, Kerri has a very good job(s) actually she works as an insurance broker by day, and she works at Crate & Barrel on nights and weekends - that's how she funds her travels - and she does love to travel! She's also incredibly picky and practically runs a background check on everybody - could he hold up under that? Also, fyi, I would be history if she knew about this! So obviously discretion is a MUST! What do you think?
Guest guest
, I'm fine today. I only have one extra pill to take on Wednesday, Leucovoran, to offset (somewhat) the effects of the chemo. The migraine finally went away,so life is good today! And the sun is shining and all is right in my world! It's just Tuesdays'. Guest guest
Lu, I don't even attempt to do anything on Tuesday. I pretty much just crawl into a hole and wait for it to pass. I'm glad it isn't just me, I was beginning to think I was just a major woos! But the nail in the top of my head (the migraine) just about kills me! I'm glad you're all there. Guest guest
Well, we haven't seen nice weather yet, but they say it's 50 degrees today (my foot), and of course, it is overcast so there is no sunshine, but I have hope! It has to get better...eventually! Sounds like you had a heck of a day. Is your husband OK? Is he the one with RP? I don't think you ever said who it is with RP I just hope and pray you get thru it. I know firsthand how tough it is to deal with, not just physically, but emotionally and the stress!!!!!!!!! All we can do is hang in there (and eat lemon or Amaretto bars) and get on with life. I truly hope that all went well at the VA. Thanks so much for the receipe, it sounds positively sinful! Can't wait to make them! Also, a question for you and everybody. I had my chemo on Tuesday, the dose has gone up to 20 mg. I got thru Tuesday OK, I never expect or demand much of myself then, but expected to be fine on Wednesday. Wednesday was horrible! I was so weak and exhausted that I couldn't do anything but lay there! Has this happened to anyone else? Is it because of the increased dosage? I can't remember ever being so totally wiped out before. Just taking a shower was too much,I made myself do it and do my hair and then I collapsed. It was all I could do to sit in a chair and read (had to keep turning the pages). Today, I feel better, not normal, but better. Is this just something I have to adjust to with the increased dosage (I've gone from 10 mg to 20 mg in about a month). Will I adjust to this or is this here to stay? I've read emails from you all regarding the fatigue, but I've NEVER had it like this! My Rheumy is out of town until Monday, and my next dose isl Tuesday. Am I now going to have to write off two days a week because of this damned disease? HELP! Love,Judy
Guest guest
Judy, I took metho for a year and my body just couldn't handle it. I was one of the unforntunate ones. In my case, I kept getting worse each week. Hopefully your body will adjust. I will keep you in my prayers.
