Right after my surgery two years ago, someone told me that it was better to

waste the food in the garbage than to waste it on your hips. Makes sense to

me. My brain still fights with me because I grew up with those starving

kids overseas, but I try to remind myself of that sentence every time I feel

the need to " clean my plate " .

I too grew up with the starving children issue. I always wondered why we didn't

ship food over there instead of piling it on my plate but that always started a

fight. *sigh*

Well, at least you were smart enough to ask. I thought to myself, " Oh, it

would feel awful to go to bed hungry " and take care of it for them. Sigh.
