A report I have just received from a local pharmaceutical company contains information from a book called Brainrecovery.com authored by a well-known US neurologist, Dr. Perlmutter.

It deals, among other things, with various supplements used for a range of neurodegenerative diseases, incl. Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS and Altzheimer's. The report gave me food for thought, the more so as it is an area I have been looking into recently in my constant search for tools to help me with my disorder.

Have any of you read the book, which I have not seen (apparently it has not been distributed outside the US)? If so, what do you think of it?

For more details look at these websites:

http://www.amazon.com

http://www.brainrecovery.com/index.htm

In particular, read the article 'Functional Therapeutics in Neurodegenerative Disease'.

I would be very interested in comments on the above.

Thanks.

Fred,

I have read the " Brain Recovery " book. It is full of ancedotal

evidence and short on research data. I also have a friend who's

father (who has Parkinson's) was just treated at Dr. Perlmutter's

center in Florida. Unfortunately the only thing the treatment

relieved was money from his wallet.

I am going to try to bring this up with the doc's at the conference

today and get their input.
