Guest guest
When I first began to eat out after surgery I would always take food home with me or have the dilemma of what to order so as not to seem wasteful. As I got closer to my goal weight I began to look at food in a different way. When I eat out now, I don't use a restaurant card, nor do I order from the kid's menu. I order whatever I have the taste for, eat as much of it as I care to and leave the rest. This may sound wasteful to some of you but try looking at it this way. You are not paying for the amount of food you are served. You are paying for the satisfaction you gain FROM the food you eat. In other words, when I get up from the table with the rest of the guests, I am just as physically satisfied by the amount of food I have eaten as they are. I have tuned myself to think this way for over two years now and it works. I don't stress buffets, or places that only offer greasy fries and nuggets for kids. Just a thought....... and it's worked for me.
