It took 3 sessions at $200 a session, but well worth it in my mind. It was over 4 years ago. About every 12 or 15 months I go back for a " touch up " as new follicles come along. Still well worth it. No razor burn, no deodorant sting. This is the same laser process used for removing unwanted facial hair. Lots of ladies had their bikini lines done....I am a long way from worrying about that. Guest guest
Shaving under the arms is difficult. In fact it's the pitts! lol But those are the kinds of things that just make my day. So I'm not going to complain. While shaving I just sort or raise my arm in different directions until I get it all. I can live with that! Guest guest
Jacque, Actually the shaving of the arm pit is one of the things that helped me get approved for my brachioplasty. Because I had such a cavern when I raised my arm over my head to shave....I'd press hard with the razor to get in all the nooks and crannies. As a result I'd get a terrible razor burn/scraping. I had this when I saw my plastic surgeon. He asked about it, I told the truth and he absolutely I should be able to practice normal hygiene without having this happen. He took the pictures and even noted the cause in his letter to thin insurance company. Sue in Las Vegas (who is rash free now cause when he did the brachioplasty he removed the skin that grew hair!) ********************** Speaking of shaving them off...does ANYONE have a problem shaving underarms? I have lost so much fat that my armpits are actually PITS. The razor won't fit into the deep indentations of my armpits. I have used Nair...which works somewhat...but am I alone here with this problem..? I have never seen this one addressed here. What do you do to fix this? I'm hoping if ever I do get a bounceback of weight...(I'm 29 mos post) I will get some fat there! Sure would make it easier. UGH! Guest guest
Hi Sue~ Now this is interesting. You still have the *pits* but no longer the skin that grew the hair? Now THAT, I could go for. Although my stinky insurance would never pay for that sort of thing...it IS something to think about. Maybe someday my ship will come in and I will be able to do this. I really wouldn't have to have much removed, but if they could take that particular part out...how great not ever to have to worry about shaving again! At least my armpits. HEH HEH!! I use the Venus razor -- has a flexible blade area and seems to work better. Also, Bend your arm so that your elbow is at the top of your head and you are patting yourself on the back. That flattens it out some. hugs, Ann
