With all these vacations planned for N.C. this summer, don't forget &

I are here in Charlotte and would love to meet anyone that is coming our way

through the woods. We are here in Charlotte and find out Friday if we are

moving to Greensboro. Say some prayers for us. will find out if he

gets the job tomorrow. If not, we will have to move to Monterey, CA.(at

which case we would not be here for ya'll to visit) for a job which starts

in 2 weeks and frankly I don't have the energy to do that.

Deborah,

I will be praying that gets the job in Greensboro. It is alot

easier to move almost 2 hrs away than days away. I am going to see

about us getting together and with Amy also when I can go to Winston-

Salem to visit my family. I am glad you had fun at the beach also!

God Bless,

Belinda

Deborah, Where ever you are we could find you. We have family in

Greensboro and will be spending several days there after our trip to

the beach. We will definately find you in Greensboro, it's not that

big a place. But...if you are not there in Greensboro, when we head

home we go back to Arizona and that is only a hop, skip and jump for

me to California. For Jerry it is a slip, slide and roll to

California. We also have family there and drive over a couple times a

year. Monterey is farther North but what's a little trip to see one

of my invisable friends. Nothing like having a face with a name.

I'd travel miles for that. So, if you are driving from Charlotte to

California because those prayers got answered different than

expected, make sure you stop by Arizona and we will be waiting to

welcome you to the wild West. I do hope for your sake we come

looking for you in Greensboro as a move across the country is

difficult on anyone and I know it would be near impossible for Jerry

right now.

See you soon. Jan

Jan,

As my 14 year old son would say, " Cool Beans. " and I would love to

meet you and Jerry. Faces and places, nice thing to put together...if my

short term memory would just hold... oh, I forgot, that's why I have

Deborah,

I didn't realize you have a 14 yr. old son. This must be difficult

for him.....talk of moving, etc. My 17 yr. old is really a great

cooperative kid, but the idea of moving would be difficult for him.

He has enought to deal with just trying to digest the MSA and changes

that has made in our lives. I think he is really looking forward to

the 8 wks he will spend at Embry Riddle Univ. flying and maybe

putting the other aspects of his life on hold. It is a shame he will

not be making the NC trip with us. See you soon in NC. Jan

Jan,

I have 3 children. Robby will be 24 on May 28. He is married and lives

back home in Lafayette, LA. Chandra is 17 and Tristan is 14. In August

2000, when I received the dx of MSA, I had to make the decision as to the

care of my kids. (I hadn't met yet). I couldn't keep up with them

and I couldn't remember what I had told them. (Teenagers taking

advantage...but mom, you told me...).

I sent my daughter to live with a family in Los Angeles and my son to live

with his father in Branson, MO. It was the hardest decision that I ever

made. After and I got married, June 28, 2001, they were well settled

and I did not want to disrupt their lives and drag them all the way over

here to NC, where I moved to be with . I did give them the choice

though.

My illness and moving in with someone they don't know in a part of the

country that they had never been to seemed too difficult for them. I'm not

getting better and teenager demands don't get easier.

I don't see them as often as I would like but we do communicate by phone

and on the internet frequently. MSA, the disease that just keeps a taking.

Anyway, the move won't affect them.

Deborah,

I am so sorry to hear that they are not with you. But, you are

right, teenagers can be a hand full and MSA doesn't always leave you

with the ability to " hand " le things easily. I don't know what it

would be like if it were me with the MSA and my husband was left to

deal with kids and my care. I find it hard to keep a relationship

going that includes good times with our sons and my husband and not

all " help me " times. I know our 17 year old will enjoy 8 weeks away

from all of this. He would enjoy flying no matter what the situation

but I think he needs this break as well. Boy will I miss his help.

Thank goodness all the kids and grandkids will be in NC to assist us.

I also have a 24 yr. old who lives in the area and he is a big help

to us. He is also great with the 17 yr. old. In fact, the two boys

took my husband and went on a cruise with him in March. I don't like

cruises so I went away with my sister and enjoyed some down time.

They all had a ball and it was great for Jerry to be somewhere that

gave them all choices of things to do and he was safe at the same

time. We have 4 others grown and with families. One in Dallas and

two in Philadelphia area, one in New Jersey. This disease is hard on

all of them. I am so happy to have my " on line counseling group "

now. You are quite an inspiration for me and many others. I can't

wait to meet you and the other NC folks. Jerry is really excited to

have found the web site, even though he can not see to read the

postings himself, he has told several friends about the chat on

Sunday.

I am sure you will keep us all posted on your moving plans. I hope

to see you in Greensboro, but please know that if you must go to

California we would love to have you visit here in sdale on the

way, if you are driving. If you fly, then we will make time to visit

you in your new home state of California. Have car will go....

Jan and Jerry,

When are you going to Greensboro? Maybe all of us could meet then.

That would be great! I hope so. Let us know when. I don't know

Greensboro that much but I am sure we could all find each other.

What a great idea. We will be there from Aug. 10 to Aug 14, then

Jerry leaves to go to Minnesota to watch the PGA Championship (with

two of our sons in tow) and I leave on the 16th to head back to AZ.

See you soon, Jan

Now this is really beginning to sound like fun!!!! said that he

wants to take me to Greensborro tomorrow to look around so if he gets the

call for the job, I would at least know what the town looks like.

Amy, are there any neighborhoods on a lake or stream or water of some kind?

What area of town should we be looking in? I want that job to come through

soooo bad.

Jan, Belinda... cool... in one day we have got a Greensborro party going...

Amy is already there... we just need to get there too and what fun we will

have planning to visit each other.

It would be so much fun for sure! I will have to see what day school

starts for the next school year. That might be my only problem

especially since I can't drive. I hope I can be there then.

Hi Deborah, I live in Indian Trail, just off 74 at the Bilo store headed

toward Monroe. My dad passed away on May 4. He has had this dreadful disease

for 5 years. He is in a better place. The last two months have been really

rough. I hope I'll get a chance to talk with you and to check up on you to

see how you are doing.

Dee,

says that he knows exactly where you live and that you are not that

far from us. We live on the N.C. side of Lake Wylie in River Pointe

subdivision right before the Buster Boyd Bridge. Our phone number is in the

phone book. Please call, I would love to talk.
