Guest guest
Vicki, I'm glad you mentioned this because, as an update, that was posted on 9/1 and I was down 17 pounds at that point. Since then, I've lost another 4 pounds. I know I could do better if I dropped the carbs and high fat foods and did some exercise (ugh!), but I still don't crave the pretzels and sf cookies, so I really believe that junk grazing is what stalled the weight loss, and the protein shake is what killed those cravings. Also, I remember reading that the way to get off a plateau is to change what your doing...kind of to shock the body. Just like when people tell newbies to eat more to lose weight, it might be worth a shot just to change your routine. In other words, if you're eating 3 meals a day, change it to 6 small meals a day. I think that's healthier anyway, as it never lets you get too hungry that you'll overeat. The other thing I've tried to do is to eat dinner a little earlier, and when I get those nighttime cravings, have some melon or fruit (good carbs) or SF hot chocolate now that the weather is getting colder. Obviously, a protein shake is always a good choice, too.
