Guest guest
hi all, Can someone please tell me how do you find out someone's email address? If I click on the blue hyperlink it looks like I am going to post again. Is that so or does that email someone? Hey, I already admitted to being mentally challenged. What can I say? hehehe God bless, Belinda
Guest guest
The return address should be in the header (very top) of the email. It will resemble the From: name_of_the person@... or something close to that. When you locat highlight it, copy (CTRL C) and paste (CTRL V) on the email you are sending: To: name_of_the person@... Guest guest
Aletta, I just realized something. I don't get mine in email because I couldn't handle it that way. I go to the site and read so that is why I don't see the email address, I guess. Is there another way of getting the email addresses? Guest guest
Yes if you are reading the messages at the website it blocks out the full email address for security reasons. You can still click on the blue link and this will send email directly to that person, not to the list. Hugs, Pam from someone who is mentally challenged > hi all, > Can someone please tell me how do you find out someone's email > address? Guest guest
Belinda, On the groups.yahoo.com WWW interface, it does not appear to be possible to see the poster's e-mail address. Whereas, if you are subscribed to the group via " individual " e-mails, or via " digest " e-mails, the postings from each poster will contain the poster's e-mail address.. One cavet to this, I presume, is that the poster can opt to keep their e-mail address private. In this case I presume the e-mail address would not be revealed to you under any circumstances. Most people do not opt to do this however. While using the WWW interface, if you click on the poster's e-mail address, it will allow you to send them a private message while still keeping their e-mail address a secret from you; this will however reveal your e-mail address to them, and if they choose to reply to your private message, then their e-mail address will be revealed to you in the e-mail that they send you. It's a pretty elaborate system of checks and balances that Yahoo has come up with to protect our privacy... Ummm.. I just put my e-mail address in my e-mail signature... -Elliot >, >Thanks! >Belinda > > > > >> Greetings Belinda! >> >> I am leaving your original email, so you can see how this works. >The >> hyperlink below creates a new email message with your mail address >in >> the TO: field. >> >> >> Regards, >> =jbf= >> >> B. Guest guest
Elliot, Thank you for helping me out. I don't have messages emailed to me because it overwhelms me. I prefer to go to the www. page. It is amazing what being sick can do to you. Some things I can deal with and some things I have a harder time with. Guest guest
Hi Belinda, I'm glad to be of help. Yeah it's overwhelming for me too to have a bunch of e-mails from a mailing list dropping in my in box. Then e-mails that are sent to me personally get lost in all the e-mails for the list.. and if you're subscribed to more than one list, it's even worse. I'm gonna have to figgure out how to do this mail filtering where Eudora will automatically dump the e-mails for the list in a seperate folder. Yeah, I don't have MSA, but what you said about being sick really resonates with me. When I'm sick, um, with just a cold or a cough, I totally loose any motivation to do anything. I don't know if it's depression or what. I've always been living on the verge of depression, which might sound weird, but, it's kind of like, I procrastinate a lot, because I try to do too many things in my life.. and that stresses me out a lot, but I have found the perfect balance where I don't procrastinate too much, so I don't get too stressed out, but I'm always near my limit.. I don't work well unless I'm under some stress.. then when I get sick, the motivation and the energy to do stuff just isn't there, but all the stress of daily life is still there.. and I just lapse into not doing anything in particular, and just telling the whole world to go to hell and wait till I'm feeling better before I do anything. Which means I'm absent from work any time I come down with anything... a lot of employers don't like that. I hate employers... >Elliot, >Thank you for helping me out.
