Sun,

I asked this same question to the mito group a while back and there is no preference as to which is better as long as it's Tishcon. I had the chew q's before my daughter got them stuck in her braces, now we are using the gels. I didn't know there is powder form!

Welcome-

Hi,

The powder form is safer because the chewable form contains "magnesium stearate" and this is like poison for your body.

http://www.livestrong.com/magnesium-stearate-side-effects/

You don't want that in your supplement. For this reason I inquired Tishcon and below is Tishcon's response

-----

ChewQ does contain a small amount of magnesium stearate HOWEVER Tishcon does make a product that uses the exact same Hydro-Q-Sorb CoQ10 that is used in ChewQ in a powder formulation (also bio-enhanced) that does not contain magnesium stearate -- here is it's direct page link:

http://www.epic4health.com/h220copo75gr.html

So take the powder form instead of chewable form. ( I have to take powder or chewable because I can't swallow pills very well). The other swallow type does not contain magnesium stearate

Thanks

The magnesium stearate (MS) is in chewable form of this Tishcon coq10 only and not the capsule form. You can take the capsule form or powder form. MS is made by hydrogenated cotton seed oil or palm oil to enhance tablet compression/binding. It is used in mass production of supplements to ensure they will meet the production schedule. Again, they use unhealthy ingredients in supplements to make money fast. Magnesium stearate is in most of the chewable form of supplements and are not safe. I'd not take any supplement with that in it as the body cannot get rid of it and it can accumulate and is not safe. I guess it's cheaper way to make the supplement fast.

We have to be careful of all these supplements as some of them contain unsafe materials. If you take lots of supplements all these hazardous materials can accumulate in the body unable to exit from the body.

magnesium stearate is so common its in almost all of the supplements ive taken over time - i'm still confused about a 'capsuleized' supplement tho other

than this coq10. - do you know if its in the capsule, or the powder in the capsule. you say it binds, and i understand that thats supplements that arent capsule but

its listed in the 'other ingredients' of the capsules i take of different supplements. dont know if you know, this;, may have to call mfg.

is it always made of this hydrogenated palm or other oils? how did you find out this info.?

thanks.

MG is in the tablet (chewable) form of Tishcon brand. I am not sure of other brands It is not in the capsule form or the powder form. I've contacted them. I didn't really ask which oil, but it's usually cotton seed oil or palm oil and neither or those two oils are any good. There are very small amount of MG in the supplement. This effects digestion and T-cell suppression so for normal people it's okay, but for some people and people with compromised immune system the MG could have an effect. It's a filler ingredient in lot of the supplements and have been controversial. Magnesium stearate, stearic acid....all those ingredients are not really good. If you take lots of supplements...it could add up. This is used in mass

production of supplements. A high quality supplements (some of them) do not use this type of unhealthy ingredients. I would be very careful of what I put into my body. After all, disease/health is accumulation of what we do to our body. We get what we put in...including implants.

Hi all, I take a few supplements by Pure Encapsulations. The ones I have don't contain the magnesium stearate. I think the Designs for Health brand also is alright for the few I have.

Here's some more information on toxic ingredients in nutritional supplements. Choose your supplements carefully as if you take a lot all of these can accumulate in the body especially with weakend elimination system for those of us with implants...........
