At least, take Cytotec (prescription) along with your NSAID of choice

(aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, Vioxx, Celebrex, etc.). As an

anti-inflammatory, neither Vioxx nor Celebrex is better than plain

old aspirin or ibuprofen (Motrin) or naproxen sodium (Aleve). So,

you most probably can take those ***IF*** you also take the Cytotec.

YMMV on this. Before WLS, I was on NSAIDS, and was given Cytotec to protect

my stomach...and still had doubling over stomach pain from the NSAIDS. Not

saying that you will even HAVE pain with damage done. Just wanted to say

that Cytotec is not always the answer either. I'm one of the more fortunate

ones that got pain way before it ever became ulcerous.

YMMV on this. Before WLS, I was on NSAIDS, and was given Cytotec to protect

my stomach...and still had doubling over stomach pain from the NSAIDS. Not

saying that you will even HAVE pain with damage done. Just wanted to say

that Cytotec is not always the answer either. I'm one of the more fortunate

ones that got pain way before it ever became ulcerous.
