Guest guest
At least, take Cytotec (prescription) along with your NSAID of choice (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, Vioxx, Celebrex, etc.). As an anti-inflammatory, neither Vioxx nor Celebrex is better than plain old aspirin or ibuprofen (Motrin) or naproxen sodium (Aleve). So, you most probably can take those ***IF*** you also take the Cytotec. --Steve At 8:49 PM +0000 11/7/02, nanpug2001 wrote: > What can I do....I can't >call my surgeon or PCP cause my PCP is useless where WLS is >concerened ( I have probably taught him everything he knows)and my >surgeon is gonna tell me to go back on the VIOXX. Guest guest
YMMV on this. Before WLS, I was on NSAIDS, and was given Cytotec to protect my stomach...and still had doubling over stomach pain from the NSAIDS. Not saying that you will even HAVE pain with damage done. Just wanted to say that Cytotec is not always the answer either. I'm one of the more fortunate ones that got pain way before it ever became ulcerous.
