Guest guest
I love the San Francisco idea since it is close to me and there seem to be a lot of Cali people in the area. But I don't think Hotels here are cheap. But it is absolutely beautiful if you have never been here!!! Martha H Hill cA Re: Grad Convention > If everyone likes Branson but me, go for it. Guest guest
Morning all, I just wanted to pipe in here on choosing a location and other stuff. First of all, the only reason I suggested Branson in the first place is because it is in the center of the country, easier for everyone, and if this is really going to happen, we want the biggest turnout we can get. So, let's try to think of the big picture (read what's easiest and most financially feasible for the majority), and not just the " have it in my town " mindframe. Also, this isn't a WLS convention, it's a Grad list convention. And third, if Branson is not acceptable to the majority, my vote is for Vegas, as there's so much more to do for adults and kids alike, we can get really cheap package deals from all over the country, and there's something for everyone's tastes and pocketbooks. Sorry Texans, but IMHO, it just makes the most sense. in NJ
Guest guest
I think it doesn't have to be restricted to grads, lurkers can go but cant present. It is always ok to educate future members. Fay Bayuk 300/182 10/23/

Sorry, I should have clarified. If they're on the list, lurkers or not, they're part of the Grad list. >>BUT, regardless of " where " it is held I think the " agenda " or " schedule " would need to include speakers who are willing to share specific information -- for example one could do " protein and the BIG 8 " another could do " ostio and weight baring exercise " another could do " revisions -- types and reasons " (just tossing out some topics) and it would need to be a " BY Patients and FOR patients " << *********Great idea! And I was serious about the protein party idea. But, anyone who does this should not have to foot the bill for the protein and/or SF syrups, pudding, etc. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks at the door to join the taste-testing, or ahead of time, if that's preferred. in NJ

Guest guest
I feel if it is a 'grad' convention - only Graduates should be able to attend! Just my opinion, it would not stop me from attending either way. Guest guest
Lurkers are part of the grad list....they just don't post yet, so I personally would want to welcome anyone on the list who could attend. I also see it more as a social function than anything else, since people present so much information on this board already. I'm only here for the party! in Austin RNY April 1998 ----- Original Message -----
