Guest guest
Hi Emme, Love the spelling of your name, how do you pronounce it? Welcome to our list, I am writing you offlist with the names of some LD literate doctors. I cannot guarantee that they will be compassionate, but I must say that it is the norm for doctors who do treat LD. Please feel free to ask any questions you have about LD, and our fabulous group of subscribers will either know the answers, or point you in the right direction to find them. You are not alone, we are here to guide, and support you. Welcome hugs, Marta > From: penguinoffaith@... > > Hi Everyone! > This is my first post, so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I 21 and I am in what my doctors believe is my second infection of Lyme disease. I had it when I was 12, then last spring got really sick, starting with a horrible headache and mono...and a rash. Well, you know the rest 'cause most of you have lived it I guess. I've had 2 equivical test results and am waiting on a third test to come back. > Does anyone have a recommendation of a compenetnt and compassionate Lyme specialist in the east US. Guest guest
Kathi, I always bloat when I travel. Would drinking extra water help it pass? Glenn and I just got back from a weekend out of town. I've spent the last three hours catching up on posts! Please forgive me if I don't chime in as often as I would like to but my hands are so swollen and sore from this arthritis or whatever they think it is! I am thinking of you all, expecially those of you who are having problems. For those who have just joined and are unhappy with the non-liver disease chit-chat, give it some time. I joined the group hoping to educated myself and find out as much as I could about the disease and the side effects from medications. I've learned volumes! I found that after awhile, I reached a saturation point regarding " disease talk " and welcomed the informal conversations. These conversations make people more real to me and I still become aware of physical difficulties, just not in an overwhelming way. I'm pretty sure you need to be off of MTX for several months before you should even attempt pregnancy. Keep on supporting your bride to be - she needs you to help. I'm recently married myself and my husband is great - he caters to me on my bad days and makes my good days even better. Guest guest
HI GREGORIO SORRY FOR THE ITALICS BUT I HAVE TROUBLE SEEING. I AM IN A SIMILAR SITUATION, MY NEW HUSBAND AND I ARE TRYING TO CONCEIVE. HERE IS WHAT I SUGGEST AND KNOW. YOUR FIANCE SHOULD CONSULT WITH HER RHEUMY AND A HIGH RISK OBSTETRICIAN. SHE WILL NEED TO DISCONTINUE THE MTX.....IT CAUSES MISCARRAGES. THERE ARE SAFE MEDS TO TAKE DURING PREGNANCY(WITH CAREFUL MONITORING) SUCH AS PLAQUINIL AND PREDNISONE FOR EXAMPLE. ALSO THAT PA SOMETIMES GETS BETTER DURING PREGNANCY. THIS WAS TOLD TO ME BY MY OB-GYN DOCTOR. GOOD LUCK.

Guest guest
Hi Gregorio and fiance. Congratulations on your wedding plans and the best of luck as you begin your family. I've been told that you should wait 2-4 cycles after ending MTX before trying to conceive. Of course, it might take that long to get regular (or for her body's chemistry to return to normal). As far as someone's advice to take plaquenil--that one scares me. I had an allergic reaction to it and swelled up like a balloon with an ugly rash all over. Someone else has told me that remicade is considered " safe " during pregnancy (at least during the beginning), but I would do LOTS of research (there's a section on this group's home page that deals with meds and research) on this stuff before I even took the chance with my future child. I've been off all meds (except Aleve or Tylenol) for a year and I'm lucky enough to be able to cope with the pain. Obviously my PA isn't even close to the severity of others in this group. Plus I have a high pain tolerance (as I'm sure most of us do). They tell us here in the States that Tylenol is one of the only things that pregnant women should take, but I would make sure that your fiance goes to an OB/GYN who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Anyway, good luck to you both! Stay tuned to this group--it's wonderful to have a place to go where people know what you're going through! My church isn’t nearly as exciting as yours! [ ] Hi Everyone! Hola! Just checking in to send my love to everybody. Hope you are doing okay. I went to church this morning and it was very refresing as ussual. We had a play in the service for the beginning of Holy Week and at one point they brought a dunkey as part of the play and when our choir started singing he got scared and started running for the door. It was hillarious and it took every bit of selfcontrol that I had to keep me from laughing. It turned out good. Really enjoyed. Have a good night and I will be checking in! God Bless! Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I'm new to this group too. I hope I am posting this correctly. do you usually keep the previous text in your reply? I have suffered with candida problems for years. I frequent a couple of other candida forums as well - one is the healthyawareneses forums and also wholeapproach.com forums. It's amazing how many people suffer with this. I felt like I was the only one until I found all of these groups. I probably won't post a lot - but I'll be here reading... thank you for sharing. As far as the amalgams go, some people really have dramatic results when they have them out and others don't notice a lot of benefits. I'm not sure why - likewise, some people have trouble with the amalgams in their mouths and some are not bothered by it. I had my amalgams removed and it really didn't help much. Make sure you see a good environmental/holistic dentist that takes great care to make sure you are not put at more risk. Ask lots of questions - do they use an oxygen mask during the removal, eye coverage, rubber dam, etc. good luck! fish > > Hi my name is Lonnie. > > > > I am glad to have found this group. Guest guest
--- Hi Deana My bone graft took longer to heal than my back did, about a year longer to fuse.Total time for my fusion was about a year and a half.Alot depends on how good a fusion takes.First of all Stop smoking! If you smoke.I`m a non smoker and it made a real difference.I have no plates just a titanium cage and it doesn`t bother me at all!!! > Tree > Hi Im Deana..glad youre feeling good and yes I do have a couple of questions..one , the bone graft..Did it take long to heal ?? and 2 the plate..does it ever bother you ? Guest guest
Cheryl, Wow you must be having so much fun coaching those little guys, I love that age, they are sooo sweet! I remember when our son was about that age playing soccer, when he got his new little uniform, he was so excited about the uniform, he let the ball go right by, he was too busy checking how really fine he looked LOL! The drama production sounds adorable, please write again and tell us how it turns out, I love hearing about our dear families here. P.S. I am calling my hepatologist because my protonix is not working for me very well, he wants me to come in before he decides to change it, I think I have an ulcer now. Great to hear from you Cheryl! Guest guest
Nick is correct. You will need advice from your doc or a nutritionist. We have a couple of friends with this and as long as they are following the diet they're fine. However, when they stray from the diet ~ they wish they hadn't. Sometimes the flare-up can last weeks and cause some good old time misery. One of my friends refers to it as " worshipping the porcelain goddess " if that gives a good image. > My doctor said I have Diverticulosis.Dose anyone know much about this > diease?
