Guest guest
Hi, Lea Acupuncture can help the burning mouth syndrome as it falls in the general category of “neuropathic pain,†meaning that it probably results from altered nerve function, possibly in the nerves carrying taste sensation. Whenever nerve is involved acupuncture really works well. The burning tongue is symptom of underlying deficiency. There may be other causes, like yeast infection, vitamin/mineral deficiency. In TCM the burning tongue involves heat in the large intestines and possibly stagnation of the liver. http://www.nature.com/bdj/journal/v209/n1/full/sj.bdj.2010.582.html Do you have cracks on your tongue or constipation?
