Guest guest
http://oregoncenter.com/http://oregoncenter.com/ Dan, here is Dr. F. site. In his blue book, is a wealth of info. BTW, he was my wls surgeon :-) Barb B. Here is what I read in Dr. Flanagan's paper on Function of the Small Bariatric Pouch! He said that anything past 17mm renders the surgery non-functional as regards restrictive function. I think someone said, or I read, that the initial opening should be formed at 12mm and would normally stretch to a max 15-17mm. In this case yours sounds about like what mine was estimated to be. Mine was estimated from an Upper GI and not a scope. I am not tossing this out to upset you, just wanted to share with you what I had read. I am not sure but I think I had Dr. Flanagan's article stored in archive somewhere Barb B.
