Guest guest
~Dear ~: Just happened to be sitting here when your msg popped in. I trotted out my handy dandy converter and converted 1.25 inches to centimeters and it converts to 3.175 and that converts to 31.75mm. Here is what I read in Dr. Flanagan's paper on Function of the Small Bariatric Pouch! He said that anything past 17mm renders the surgery non-functional as regards restrictive function. I think someone said, or I read, that the initial opening should be formed at 12mm and would normally stretch to a max 15-17mm. In this case yours sounds about like what mine was estimated to be. Mine was estimated from an Upper GI and not a scope. I am not tossing this out to upset you, just wanted to share with you what I had read. I am not sure but I think I had Dr. Flanagan's article stored in archive somewhere. Dan Slone Surgery 5/2/2000 Helicobacter Pylori ??? Hey gang, I'm home from my scope with pictures and preliminary report in hand -- doc said it appeared in a couple of places that I might have Helicobacter Pylori and he took biopsy's of those and said only the biopsy results can tell for sure if I do or not -- he said it (Helicobacter Pylori) some time's presents with an ulcer and sometimes no ulcer and he said he found no indications of an ulcer at this point. I have my pictures and my report (preliminary) -- I will search the archives after I really " wake up " and anything anyone can help me understand I'd be very grateful... I did look it up but the explanation was to medical for me to understand and none of it applied to GB people anyway... so, anyone been there/ done that and have information to share I would be very grateful. The integrity of my surgery does seem to be in tact with only slight stretching of the stoma -- about an inch and a quarter he said -- closer to quarter size than dime size.... In English please ~smile~ If you just want to send your reply to me click reply -- to the group is reply to all... I don't know if this is a topic appropriate for the group or not since I don't know what it is. hugz, ~denise Homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG Unsubscribe: mailto:Graduate-OSSG-unsubscribe
