Vit. K, testostorone, DHEA

I'm going to give my personal experience with these three. I read a

couple posts about the Vit. K and it's very interesting. Last Friday

I just had all my labs done through PCP - everything is great. I

talked to her about the fact that in the past couple months I have

noticed lots of bruising lately - she had no answers for me.

Actually said that she didn't know what to tell me since my lab work

looked fine and walked out - very dissappointing. Then on Monday I

saw my endrocrinologis and took him copies of the blood work done by

PCP & told him about the bruising. He looked and that blood work and

said that the one test not done was Vit. K levels and that I could be

deficient in that or Vit. C??? Suggested that I up the C and said

that we would run the K levels on my next round of tests (every 3

mths). Anyone know anything about that one?

The reason I see an endrocrinologist ever 3 mths is because I have

extremly high, actually almost toxic levels of DHEA (normal levels

are anything under 100, mine are way over 800 almost 900 w/out meds

and keep rising) and testostorone. ON the flip side, my estrogen

levels are extremly low (even after a weight loss of 130 pds). I

just went through a test to see how much meds I'm actually absorbing -

found out that I am absorbing most of what he gave me, but not

all...so, we try yet another hormone drug to try to bring these

levels down. I think it was in Austin said that he thought

that women might need testostorone - we already have that, just not

as much as the guys - just like guys have estrogen just not as much

as we do (typically that is). Testostorne and DHEA do work hand in

hand, they are both hormones that are controlled through the glands.

The problem is that you can buy over the counter stuff that adds to

your levels - weight lifters use them all the time. NOT GOOD!!!! I

want to urge anyone to NOT do this unless you have talked to your doc

first and had your levels run. Trust me, you do not want to give

yourself to much of this stuff as it can literally kill you and make

you feel like crap until it happens.
