Guest guest
Did they take out in Handcuffs? I would have wanted to deck the nurse on the spot. I can't even imagine finding my love one on the floor after getting a call for help. Thanks for the story/warning as it will be heeded if we are ever back in the hospital. Guest guest
Jan, It was a close one. They told that I could not have my Sinemet and he calmed only when he realized that I already had 2 of them in my mouth. He also demanded tylanol for me which they refused and he walked one of the nurses back to her station and yelled at her to GET IT NOW! She did. He told me that it was all he could do to keep from getting physical with them after the way he found me. Deborah Did they take out in Handcuffs? I would have wanted to deck the nurse on the spot. Guest guest
Oh Deborah, Upon reading this I thought I was reading a horror story! I can't even begin to imagine the fear you must have been in just not being able to talk or move. I have had that happen to me for a few seconds and it scared me but nothing like you went through! I can't understand why the nurses didn't know something was wrong when you couldn't talk to them. It just goes to show you how bad things have become. My mother was in that hospital also. We couldn't leave her alone because it was hard to get the nurses to come in there when we begged them to. We had to get her up the first time to go to the bathroom after she had 5 disks worked on in surgery. A nurse wouldn't even come in there they told us to do it. We were scared that we might hurt her but we did it. Thankfully she came home the next day and we could take care of her there. It is bad when you can get better care at home then you can in a hospital that you are paying mega dollars for. She didn't have the frozen episode or laying in the floor. I would hate to know what would have happened if you had not been able to call . I know that it must of scared him horribly to see you laying on the floor like that. I also know that he loves you so much that he would have never left you if he didn't think you would be taken care of. I know this only after seeing him post twice. I am so glad that you reported her because NO ONE deserves to be treated like that! I hope that it will make a difference but who can say. This makes me so MAD! I am going to call my brother in law who is a respiratory therapist at that hospital and see if he can tell me if there is something that can be done to see that it doesn't ever happen to anyone again! God bless, Belinda > Belinda, > > Hang in there. It is not fun being so darn dependent on everyone. Guest guest
Hospital not the least hospitable. Just getting back on my feet so to speak after a two week stay at a local Medical facility. Two of the most HORRIFIC days of my life . Finding myself in the ER of a major trauma center in a muscle spasm head to toe, unable to speak clearly, finally getting the attention of a nurse and being told to keep my mouth shut my oxygen level was fine. I am to tired to elaborate now but will fill in any one interested. Guest guest
Chuck, No other words are necessary. I do understand. Guest guest
Chuck, I am so sorry to hear that you had a horror story also. I thought people went into the medical profession because they wanted to help people. I know they are over worked and quite honestly as much money they charge our insurance companies I don't understand why they don't hire more help. I hope you made a formal complaint,Chuck. I would be glad to hear your story when you feel well enough to tell it. God bless, Belindaa > > > Belinda, > > > > > > Hang in there. It is not fun being so darn dependent on > > everyone.
