Guest guest
Bev, try contacting http://mycometrics.com and see if they still test for mold in breast implants. If so, you can find out the cost and how they want them shipped. I used them after I read good reviews by Dr. Shoemaker (mold doc in land). They found penicillium in both my implants and sent me the lab results along with pictures. I had previously sent my implants to Dr. Blais for evaluation and he did examine them under a high powered microscope. He did not do any destructive testing; he primarily does failure analysis on medical devices. Mycometrics, to the best of my knowledge, does destructive testing (getting into the implants, etc) and that pretty much negates any type of legal action against the manufacturer, or it used to. I can tell you though that legal action is a tough road to travel and not a very successful one at this time. Best of luck, ~Beth L
