Guest guest
Patty, I just wanted to say that when I was on hcg to lose weight (it is a hormone) I felt cured! I was even only on about 500 calories a day and had abundant energy! (yes and sick with implants) But, the hcg stilmulated my glands and I wondered how much stimulating is good, and why if it's safe, you can only be on it in 3 month increments maybe once a year or so. I think I am even addicted to it! I haven't been on it for about a year and I crave it! I was wondering if the doc tested your levels first before the replacement. Hey, but I'm desperate to feel better so I'm looking at the site, thanks. Oh update, Kolbs office quoted 10k so I have to look once again at in network providers I guess for explant. But I did get implants!I'm seeing a wonderful gynecologist--the first MD I've seen in ages that I actually LIKE and respect. It was about time! She tested my hormones, and her interpretation of my results was that I needed to get my hormones boosted...all of them. She is definitely and "Outside the box" thinker. Her preferred method of delivery is hormone pellets implanted just under the skin. I balked at the idea of implants of any kind, but after doing the research I agreed. http://revitapel.com/pellets/The reason I am telling you this is that I feel absolutely fabulous--better than ever! One of my worst issues for so long after getting sick from implants was the brain fog and mental dysfunction. It went away, but as I entered menopause years (in my late 40's), I struggled more and more with my brain clarity. I knew it was bad, but not debilitating. I just had no idea how bad it was until I noticed how much I had improved since getting these pellets implanted!I was implanted about one month ago, in my hip, with testosterone and estradiol. I take 100 mg of progesterone by pill, and also 2 grains of armour thyroid in the morning and 1 more in the afternoon sublingually. Let me just say that for me, it has worked wonders. I'm a believer!!My pellets will dissolve in about 3-4 months and then I will have to do it again. I'm not too crazy about that, but it is definitely worth it to replace those hormones.I'm a firm believer that for those women who have done all that they could to detox and get better, but are NOT seeing results in their health improvement since explant, they should NOT ignore the endocrine system and the possibility that hormones need to be replaced or supplemented. It just might be the missing piece of the puzzle. The key is finding that doctor who will work with you and not be afraid to think outside the box. These kind of doctors are the ones who can make the most difference. Patty
Guest guest
Hi , Yes, my doctor did a blood test first to test all my hormones. While they were " in range " for a menopausal woman, and I pointed that out, she said, " Yes, but you don't want to feel like a menopausal woman, do you? You want to feel like you used to when you were younger, right? " And of course I do! I'm a reader of Suzanne Somers books, so I know that she is taking all of those hormones too. Any other doctors I had look into for HRT were hundreds of dollars and not in my insurance network. This doctor is in my network and I just love her. HRT therapy using bio-identicals is probably controversial, but then again, all of the information I have read points out the value of the protective effect on the brain. That is what I wanted. She herself uses the pellets, as do all of her staff and they are big cheerleaders for this therapy, giving testimony of how good they feel. Lots of energy and good brain function. I concur! The difference is profound for me. I don't want to give up feeling this good. Traci, I hope you find the right explanting doctor...I sure wish Dr. Hiatt would have worked out for you, if he is in your network. I KNOW he can do the work...he did it on me. I don't know what has threatened him, but I can only wonder if he can be led to help you. Have you checked into Dr. Huang in Denver?
