Guest guest
Cindy Yes the sexual side effects are not for the faint of heart. Mother is 80 and if a man even blinks at her she drops them in their tracks, literally! She tells some pretty tall tales right now and it's hard to keep a straight face sometimes. I'd hate to think how this would have affected her if this part of the disease would have set in even 15 years ago. She has had it for at least 20 to 25 years already but it has moved fairly slow up until the last 2 or 3 years. We made the decision today to increase her Seroquel slightly. That helps keep the paranoid delusions under control but we will have to add Ativan to it because she is getting so difficult to handle. She has already gone out through one of the windows which didn't have full locks on because no one else could get to it. Mother can get to anything!! She opened it, popped the screen, crawled out, closed the window and put the screen back on it. How's that for neatness!! What she didn't know is that all the windows can be seen from other areas and it was facing the rec room where everyone was sitting watching her. Some of those patients were really getting a big kick out of it. Is your brother-in-law going to donate his brain for research? I'm having a hard time making contact with anyone right now who is doing research in that area but sooner or later I'll track someone down. Thanks for the pat on the back, Cindy Sally
