I don't agree with all of them, so never added them to my toolbox. I personally loosely define success as having lost 100% of ones excess weight (BMI 20 - 25) and having maintained that loss and BMI range without significant weight gain or obsession at 3 years and longer post op. (Most fluxuate 2 -3 pounds max.) None of the people I talked with that I view as long term WLS success stories used any particular diet or program to lose or maintain their weight loss. It is almost as if a switch was flipped in their brains. . .. They all found a way for food to no longer be an issue or focus in their life. They have things in common like saying they forget to eat and they eat because they have to in order to be healthy. They eat for nutrition. Some exercise, some don't. The people that do exercise, do it for health and pleasure, not the calorie burning or weight control aspect. Some do protein supplements, some don't . . . but all are concerned with and follow their health carefu I know post ops like MIchelle (Vitalady) and I sound like we do very different things post op, but we really don't, as we each do what is necessary in order to be healthy with our particular procedure . . . and that should be the bottom line for all of us! ) Vicki
