Geeez, I can't believe I am still dealing with these.

I've upped the calcium. I take Potassium. I drink my water. And I still get

killer leg and/or foot cramps every evening. It's very painful and my toes curl

up so funny they look deformed. I don't know what else to do, but I don't want

to just live with it, either.

Any wisdom? I'm almost 3 years out.

hugs,

Ann

Ann,

You might want to see your PCP. Your Potassium could still be low and you may

require a Rx Potassium. I know I do. ;^)

For all those other wanting to discuss other vitamins and minerals: Are you

happy now? hahahaha

If you only had the cramps post-op, I'm not sure what to tell you. But my

husband has had this problem his entire life; his WLS has made no difference.

Like you, he has spent a lifetime of diligent vitamin supplementation,

drinks at least a gallon of water a day. I keep telling him to add a banana,

even though he takes potassium, but he won't do it :)

I get the same leg cramps when I do not take in enough Protein. In addition

to my solid food, I take in an additional 60+mg of protein via protein

shakes. Try that and see if it makes a difference.
