Guest guest
You know... everyone who is making this surgery work for themselves in postopdom has got to find something that works for them. Some want to go back to dieting like Weight Watchers... I never was long term successful with any diet.. and I ain't going back there. Some are wholly devoted to protein supplementation... and I do some protein drinking myself... but it's not my everything. Some have found what they always were looking for... seven secrets... and it works for them. Some follow the pouch rules. Some never weigh. Some weigh before and after every elimination session. Some never eat sugar... some allow certain types of sugar. Some wouldn't touch milk... others see it as a good thing... and the list goes on and on. And for some reason... those who find an answer for themselves feel destiny knocking at their doors to go out and " save " those who aren't doing what they are doing. There seems to be a ready-made army behind every school of thought. And that's good. Because I would never have gotten onto vitamins meaningfully or protein supplementation or taking a look at what I am really hungry for and then stopping when I get satisfied... or a hundred other ways of life that I practice. BUT WHAT IS BAD IS GETTING ALL TICKED OFF ABOUT EVERYTHING AND TAKING THINGS PERSONALLY. It reminds me of people who are devoutly one religion or the other and who go out to kill the other religions... To quote Rodney... Can't we all just get along? I have yet to read one post that I didn't take something away from it. In my religion, the leader once said something to the effect of " shaking the dust from one's feet and moving on. " How about it? Let's agree to just think we are all swell people, share our learnings and musings, and not get all defensive. It could be a beautiful world out there... let's start here. smooches and only good intentions, Okie
Guest guest
, Can you tell us what kind of surgery you had? I think sometimes we forget that there are several different surgeries, and what applies to one does not apply to all.
