Guest guest
Hi Graduates and other interesting folks. I'm Dea Ann from Vegas. I had Laproscopic RNY surgery 3/23/2000 at the hands of the esteemed Dr. Barry Fisher. I was one of his first laps. At the time, I was a 42 and now I'm a 29. I'd love to be a 25, but have been told I'll need to resort to drastic measures (diet and exercise) to make that happen. Some of you may already know me as the Queen of Constipation from other groups. I'm a lurker until something really interesting or binding peaks my interest. Another interesting thing has happened to me. I got taller. At 275, I was 5'6. At 180, I'm 5'6.5 " and exaggerating to 5'7 " . I think the weight was compressing my spine or it could have been the yoga or the pride. I've been visiting reconstructive surgeons but haven't made any commitments. They are all in agreement though. The belly, back and thigh flab has to go. Dea Ann, The Q. of C.
Guest guest
Hi Dea Ann! I had my Proximal RNY (Open) on Feb. 15, 2000. I started at 290; went down to 180, and am back up to 200. I am 5'10 " , so I don't look too bad, but I know if I have the fat taken off my back, and tummy and thighs, that extra 20 lbs that came back would come off. I want to have that done so bad, but I know it is going to be very expensive. If anyone in the Seattle area can give me the name of a really good reconstructive surgeon, I would really appreciate it. I would love to go for a consultation and see just how much it would cost me. Dr. Bock in Redmond did my surgery, and at first he said he thought I could get at least the " tummy tuck " paid for, but as time went by, he changed his story. That was after I begged him to do an " endoscopy " to find out if I had a staple disruption. He did it, and found no disruption. I just hate the fat that hangs off my back and the fat that hangs from my stomach. My stomach isn't as bad as some, but for once in my life I would love to have a flat stomach, and a streamline back without any rolls. Oh well, let us know if you do the reconstructive surgery. I would even be willing to come down there to have it done. We come down there at least once or twice a year anyway. It would be nice to put money into something that would make me feel so good, rather than put my money in those doggone slots, and lose most of it. Hee! Hee!
