and I guess it is a small thing but what's up with the tips of fingertips

tingling -- like they are waking up from being asleep... all the tingling

goes on above the last joint and it isn't 24/7 but it is more often than

not. Is it just a " weird " thing or a " symptom " of something else? I did do a

" search " on the med sites but found nothing.

thnx again,

Thank you all who had suggestions -- I'm not taking any new or different

medications and I did look-up the two I take with it mentioning nothing

about my fingers -- I have to go get my Iron tested again cuz it was to high

so I'm going to ask for a full B panel to rule out the vitamin B thing (a

good idea) I tend not to think it is a pinched nerve because it is both

hands equally and at the same time but it could be so with the B's ruled out

I'll research the pinched nerve thing.

It doesn't hurt or anything -- I'm just trying to be more aware of my body

and the things it is doing -- this seemed real odd (I wasn't diabetic in the

past or now) so I thought it best just to ask.

And, thanks of the decongestant answers too -- I've taken the Rx stuff and

got huge puffy feet (reaction) to something so I shy away from them but it

may be time to try one at a time to see what is was that I reacted to.

I tried the children's Sudafed because it was a liquid (bad idea!) But the

adult pills just don't seem to work - Nyquil works at night so I picked up

some Dayquil yesterday (liquid) to see if that will work today -- this is

only the second " allergy / seasonal / respiratory " thing I've had since

surgery so it isn't " on going " but the drainage in the pouch is YUCK so I'm

trying to keep it as dry as possible (sucking tons of water down)

After I eat (when something is working and I am dried up) I've used SF

popcycles to keep my mouth a tad wet without having to drink my food away --

I wouldn't do that under normal circumstances but thought I would pass it on

as an idea when on the " dry up " medications.

Thanks you all for your ideas and help... I'm searching them all and filing

the stuff to look into.

  • 2 weeks later...

>>Have you looked into plain ol carpel tunnel syndrome? You type a lot

on the keyboard and that can aggrivate the nerve and tendon. <<<

I got this several times over -- about 4 months ago I had my first carpel

tunnel flair up in just one wrist.. my ortho doc put a shot in there and it

cleared up in about 10 days after.... so Yup... I remember the early

symptoms being the tingling in my fingertips... this time it's both hands so

I've delegated a lot of the typing stuff lately and done a lot less on the

keyboard to rest my hands and so far... seems to be working... no more

tingling but I'm still on " official " rest -- that carpel tunnel stuff hurts

REAL bad when it gets bad... I couldn't even make a fist with my hand the

last time and I don't want that again... so, I'm resting them.

hugz and thanks for all the suggestions.. and reminder ;-)
