GUIDELINES FOR SENDING PATHOLOGICAL MATERIAL AND IMPLANTS TO INNOVAL

Generally, prostheses and related tissue specimens are suitable for transport

as they leave the explanting facility. If implants are in plastic bags, they

should be placed in a rigid plastic container for transport. If capsule

tissue is included and there is fluid in the containers, the container lids

should be taped shut and the containers place in self-seal bags or a large

plastic bag which can be knotted or taped to prevent leakage.

Pathological material should be left labelled according to usual hospital and

laboratory practices, including clinical labels and/or direct ink markings.

However, if labels or markings are not present, the patient's name should be

noted on the container(s). Other information, such as the date of the surgery

and the side of origin should be provided when possible.

For transport, the specimens should be packed in a crush-resistant box and

surrounded with newspaper or foam chips to prevent movement within the box.

Packages can be sent by registered mail or courier. In either case, the

package must be sent prepaid, billed to sender or third party. Duties and

taxes must be shown in the same way. The package or courier waybill must

note the description of contents and value exactly as shown on the label

below. When these directives are followed, no duties and taxes will apply and

the package will not be delayed. Federal Express has provided the most

reliable service to date.

recently who Highly recommended him. They said he was knowledgeable in breast

implant illness so I would definitely make an appointment for a consult with

him. Hope you get those things out soon and start healing!

surgeon in the southern California area that will do a proper en bloc removal.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Does anyone have experience with Dr. Jae

Chun?
