Guest guest
I had consulation with both Dr. F and Dr. Chun. I paid $250 for consultation with Dr. F and he didn't even want to take the time to talk much. He said it's a simpler surgery easier than implant and that I can go back to work in three days if I wanted. He made is sound so simple. He just said he will remove capsules in the front and not the back area as it's dangerous to try to remove capsules in the back (i have under the muscle) and said that capsules are made of protein and blood and will be reabsorbed by the body. He said after the explant, body will form capsule/scar tissue again so no need to remove the capsules in the back area. The removal will not be covered by the insurance Dr. F and Dr. Chun confirmed this. Dr. Chun was better, he is willing to remove all the capsules if possible. I heard that Dr. F is an excellent plastic surgeon and he does excellent work, but because he does not remove the capsules in the back side I was discouraged. I felt that the consultation fee from Dr. F was ridiculous and his fees are very high. Dr. Chun charges $75 for consultation, but he credits this back if you do the surgery with him. I agree the proces of choosing the doctors is the most difficult......Good luck. I noticed many have gone to Dr. Pollack From: Irma <ruiz2000@...> Sent: Thu, March 24, 2011 11:03:39 AMSubject: Re: Looking for a good surgeon in So. California Thank you so much, Bev. I went in to see the doctor who put these things in and he basically told me we are all crazy, that there's no research supporting any of this. But of course, he was happy to quote me a price to get them out. I couldn't get out of his office fast enough. I also called Dr. F at UCLA but was shocked at how expensive the surgery is there. The consult alone is $250. I have also been in touch with dr. Kolb. She is very responsive and I like the protocol she uses. However, I am still a bit skeptical. They keep telling me it should be no problem to get the explant covered. However, all the ps offices I have spoken to here in So. cal keep telling me it is virtually impossible to get insurance to cover removal of saline implants (my insurance exclusions state removal is not covered unless medically necessary). Anyway, I am not sure who to believe. I spoke with Dr. Jae Chun's office and they told me the same thing - not likely to get covered. Unfortunately, I can't even get in to see Dr. Chun for a consult until April 14. This is all so incredibly difficult... >> Hi Irma. I unfortunately didn't use dr jae but I spoke with 2 doctors recently who Highly recommended him. They said he was knowledgeable in breast implant illness so I would definitely make an appointment for a consult with him. Hope you get those things out soon and start healing! > ~Bev> Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T> > Looking for a good surgeon in So. I believe it is the implants making me sick and am looking for a good surgeon in the southern California area that will do a proper en bloc removal. Does anyone have any recommendations? Does anyone have experience with Dr. Jae Chun?> > > > ------------------------------------> >

Guest guest
It just kills me that doctors can charge to " Sell " their services.....via in house sales pitch.....There should be NO CHARGE. You are literally gettin an appraisal for a job from them, as they are tryin to sell their services to YOU...... INSANE !
