Guest guest
Greetings Pam! You noted: > It's really too bad that Yahoo doesn't have the > capability of scanning incoming mail for viruses > before it posts things. Well something along the way to me removed everyone of these viruses. Not really sure where it was removed. My ISP is mum about it. (No follow up emails). And my Norton AntiVirus scanner never said a word. And I DO update my signature files (at least daily). So, somewhere along the line the virus was stripped off the email. Regards, =jbf= B. Guest guest
Hi , They seem to be stripped off when I retrieve my emails here at work as well. Not so when I'm at home though. So there is obviously a check that happens when it comes via my work server. Interesting that Norton has daily virus file updates, McAffee only seems to update them weekly and my work has recommended McAffee to us to use. I do my updates weekly as soon as the new one comes out. Hugs, Pam RE: Re: To the programmer or user without having to Greetings Pam! Guest guest
Greetings Pam! Norton doesn't update daily, I just try to manually check daily. My company uses a set of servers for employees (55,000+). They do not follow the Norton site closely, so I just check as often as possible. Regards, =jbf= B. Guest guest
Greetings Wanda! I think our ISPs stripped the KLEZ worm from our email. It causes as much grief for the ISP (greatly increased email load) as it does for us. They probably don't even bother to tell us about, as they do for Sally. Sally, I continue to think your ISP is extraordinary. Regards, =jbf= B. Fisher
