Guest guest
<> If you are having your labs drawn regularly (every six months), and your protein and albumin levels are staying high, and you're happy with your food plan, then I don't see why you would need to use protein shakes. In my case, my labs showed steadily declining levels (despite my eating more than 120 grams of protein per day), and this trend was only reversed when I increased my usage of liquid protein supplements. Guest guest
I use protein because I was told to by my doc. ORIGINALLY. Now, I prefer the result over the long term, the appetitie control, the fact that I don't have to focus on food or eat things I don't particularly care for. I MUST get in 150g per day, but all I take in additionally, is because I feel better, skin fits better, keeps me away from teh munchie machines.
