Guest guest
> Do we count the calories in our protein drink in our daily total? If we > don't why not? > Calories are what nutritionists use to measure how much energy is stored in that food in your fridge. To be exact, 1 calorie equals the amount of energy it would take to raise the temperature of 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) of water degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit). Fats yield 9 calories per gram, for instance, protein provides about 5 and carbohydrates provide about 4. Calories in protein drinks should be counted just like any other calorie. Many do not bother to count calories though. Ray Hooks For WLS nutrition info, visit http://www.bariatricsupplementsystem.com
