Guest guest
Saw doctor yesterday, you're right, what can you expect if you present only part of the problem. Gave me buscopan to relax spasms in my digestive tract, add milk of magnesia. I'll see a gastro specialist as soon as a referral can be made. If it does not improve in a few days he'll have to intervene manually, but the problem is higher up and he suspects the anti-spasmodic might just be the thing to at least start all of it moving. Meantime I stick to eating less and drinking more. He's (doc) still upset that my homecare has not been reinstated, nor has anyone reacted to my letters asking for a review. My Member of Parliament, however, has also sent a letter demanding some action. Additionally he upped pain medication and I've gotten more done today than I have been able to do lately (pain can really slow you down). Whenever the pain is down I start thinking about working again. I'm hopeful at least. Today the provincial government cut even more funding, all newer meds are now not covered if you are poor (tough luck), that is in addition to physio, podiatry, testing equipment, hearing aids, programs for children, elderly and disabled. To boot cigarettes will cost more (more than 50% tax), and sales tax goes up. Getting scary. I don't like my future in the hands of bureaucrats, just appears there is no choice. carterzachery: Geez, you're 27 - seems each generation gets this at an earlier age. Is that not in itself indicative of environment playing a part? Genetic illness usually attack people at about the same age. What were you studying (Ph.D.)? Can you complete it despite the MSA? Welcome to the family, sorry you had to be here. but glad you found the group. I'd be so lost otherwise. aletta mes, vancouver, bc canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Site: http://www.aletta.0catch.com
