Guest guest
Dianne, I can relate to the weight gain. I had the BI-pass surgery in April of 99 and lost from 250 to 116lbs. I maintained that weight and had no problems then I had a complete hysterectomy in August of 2001 and since I had that I have gained 20lbs. I tried to talk to my DR. about the weight gain and was blown off. Last appt with the gyno I ask to have my estrogen patch level to be lowered and the cravings stop and I feel that the weight gain has maybe subsided. I take two medications that cause weight gain the estrogen patch and effexor and it really ticks me off. IF they can manipulate things with pills what can't they develop one that has no weight gain. I know there are natural estrogen and progesterone stuff available at the health stores but I haven't look into it to much because insurance doesn't cover it. Hope this helps in any way.
