Guest guest
Anyone have any experience with neck pain. My sister gets into these cycles with neck pain which seem to get started when she lies down and rests her head on a pillow. This is an interesting dilemna for us because sometimes she gets so tired but if she lays down the pain in the neck starts which can then lead to an entire pain cycle which can even include her arms and legs. It is very strange. Even the Oxycodone doesn't seem to knock it. I hate to see people suffer in pain. You always hear people say, " In this day and age nobody should suffer from pain. " Well my sister is suffering. We have tried Baclofen which basically makes her unable to move. Other muscle relaxants just don't cut it. Any ideas? Guest guest
Dawn, Two things come to mind: 1. If she is suffering from migraine or cluster headaches, This would explain the lack of a positive response to even analgesic like Oxycodone. With migraines or cluster headaches, the medication must be given as soon as a prodroma (there many, typically the patient complains eye problems) If the meds are not given right away or almost no analgesics will not help, 2: Check her blood pressure she is laying down, elevating the head of the bed or use of a wedge pillow may help. Guest guest
--- Hi, I get Horrid neck pain. Not to much helps it either, but what I will do is take a shower as hot as I can stand it, and let the water fall on my neck, then when I get out put a cold ice pack on it for 10 min. When Im done with that I put on some flexal rub which helps a bit. I also take flexeril, it helps but it can also upset my sleep apnea. I also found changing the side of the bed I normaly sleep on helps too for some funny reason. In shydrager@y..., wrote: > Anyone have any experience with neck pain. Guest guest
The pain in my neck is worse when I sit upright or lie flat, reclining on a chair or wedged up in bed on foam triangle is helpful. Once the pain starts it takes 292's and an hour reclining motionless to bring it back to managable. Awful burning stabbing neckpain that will not be ignored followed by intense spasms in shoulder and jaw. Is that anything like yours? > > Anyone have any experience with neck pain. Guest guest
For those of you with neck pain, I'm just curious whether chiropractic care has helped anyone. Cindy

Guest guest
I've been reading the postings about neck pain, and I am wondering how many of you are talking about the " coat-hanger " pain which is supposed to be a hallmark feature of ShyDrager and which is associated with blood pressure issues versus those that may be referring to more of a musculo-skeletal pain as in disc pain, etc. I have read that laying flat should help to ease the coat-hanger pain. I'd imagine that pain meds helps too. Jerry Cash Re: Re: Neck Pain in Cycles For those of you with neck pain, I'm just curious whether chiropractic care has helped anyone. Guest guest
-Mine is worse when I lye down in bed. I also get intense spasm, where I can not move my neck in either direction. The way the doctor explained it to me is that we have little pins in our neck that keep us from turning our neck all the way around, (like the Blair thing) Sometimes when you lye down, it over relaxes and the pins cross each other and make it unable to move in either direction, causing the intese spasm. He told me once that happens, nothing but time is going to correct it. He said it takes an average of 5 days to correct. - - In shydrager@y..., " mesaletta " wrote: > The pain in my neck is worse when I sit upright or lie flat, reclining > on a chair or wedged up in bed on foam triangle is helpful.
