Hi! After I eat I get awful burppy and gassy, so I've been taking

Pepcid AC. I have also noticed that If my stomach is empty I

sometimes get nauseous or hunger pains. Since my surgery 6/12/01 I

haven't had any hunger pains till now. I saw my WLS Surgeon last

week. He thinks it might be an ulcer (scheduled an endoscopy the

23rd) Got a copy of my labs. When I got home I saw that the test for

Helicobacter pylori tested positive,2.51. This is another indicator

of an ulcer. I called the surgeon the next day as I wanted to now if

I should be on an antibiotics for the ulcer, but he was in surgery.

It's now been 4 days since I first called. I haven't heard back

from

him.

We also discussed the fact that I have a hernia. He will do the

hernia repair and a TT at the same time. I'm OK with this. I was

surprised when he mention the arms and thighs. Yes they need to be

done. He said he would do the arms and thighs at the same time as the

hernia and TT. We are submitting to the insurance (CIGNA HMO of CT)

I would like to know what this group thinks. Is it OK to have the WLS

Surgeon and not a Plastic Surgeon do the arms and thighs? Thank you

for any answers.

If your car needed a new transmission, would you take it to a muffler shop?
