Guest guest
We all have different bodies and issues. Some of us well over 400lbs pre op have some pretty damaged JOINTS that dictate the level of weight bearing exercise we can do. I have had weight bearing surgeries and other surgeries and for me bone surgery hurts the most the longest. unless the pain is greater than the surgery I will never have another bone operated on. Even though I can certainly get around and walk and do so much more than before it would be pretty stupid of me to try and get out there and run even though I would love to. I do all I can including light weights, etc. but I would not have harsh words for folks who dont subscribe to my particular routine because we are all so different. I was no doubt months away from a wheel chair before this surgery. For someone to even bring it up in a degrading or harsh fashion infuriates me, I havent forgotten where I came from. Nor will I pound my chest and belittle others who arent as fortunate as I, there are better ways to say things. Its good to be proud of your accomplishements, we all are, it takes great courage to ride the steel mare. Still, there are better ways to say things so that we dont hurt others or discourage them from sharing their stuff with us, cuz we all have something to give. flo
