Guest guest
Dizzydancer, #1 YES!!! Weakness, confusion and fatigue almost always accompany a fever with MSA #2 I am not sure this is the antibiotics (although they may cause a white coating on the tongue). It could also be caused by dehydration. Note too that the fall could have been caused by the infection. Take care, Bill Werre --------------------------------------------------- dizzydancer52 wrote: > Hi to all, I just spent 4 days in the hospital after I fell in my > home but lucky me my cell phone was right above me on a bench. Guest guest
Hi, Are you sure that you didn't have a yeast infection in your mouth? My sister who has MSA, had aspiration pneumonia and the way it manifested itself was with a horrendous yeast infection in her mouth and throat. Guest guest
Dizzy Dancer, It sounds as though you now have a yeast infection in your mouth as a result of the antibiotics that you were/are on. The antibiotic kills off the bacteria of the infection, but unfortunately it also kills off the " good " bacteria in the mouth. Usually, at least in Chrissie's case, she was put on Diflucan, a prescription mouth rinse and when that didn't do it, she was put on the pills. A yeast infection in the mouth and throat can be really painful and the cause of dehydration because it is too painful to swallow anything. Good luck, but I would get in touch with the doctor ASAP Jean & Chrissie.

Guest guest
Thanks Bill, yes, I do think the infection caused me to fall and didn't even know I had one.My tongue doesn't sluff off until after I have started the antibiotics, very weird but it has happened to me several times. Many thanks for the reply, Dizzy.
Guest guest
Thanks Jean & Chrissie, I am in touch with my Dr. big time. Everytime I'm on an antibiotic I use Lactinex tablets to put the good stuff back in, that the antibiotics are taking out. This sluffing off occurs immediately after the start of antibiotics, I shall talk with my Dr. about the yeast thing and thanks sooo much. dizzy
Guest guest
Hi there: If I remember correctly, when my mother was in a nursing home, she developed a white coating on her tongue. I think it was called " thrush " . not sure if this is what you are referring to. Regards, jerrie
