Question regarding eating and working

I am starting back to work tomorrow after being off since April due to being

sick (severe anemia and protein malnutrition). However, during my time off,

I was worried that I pissed off my employer of 4 years by being off (their

comments were " I didn't know you were sick! and " So? everyone's

ANEMIC! " ).... hence I covered my butt and when I started feeling better,

found a better paying job with " normal/flexible " hours, but I will have to

work in an office now, for the first time in TEN years. I have worked at

home since 1992. So, BIG change.

So, my question is, do ya'll BRING your lunch? What about protein? Do you

put it in water bottles or do you use the " moo mixer " or bring the damn

blender to work with you? Or do you shake and drink in a bottle? What about

food? Do you bring healthy snacks and lunch? Or do you grab fast food or

cafeteria food? Does anybody think your " nuts " mixing up your protein?

On a personal note, what do you do about the gas? LOL Working at home, you

can " let it rip " , but in an office? I will kill my coworkers the first DAY!

Although it seems that I do better gas-wise with less carbs. Once I hit the

carbs, even for half a sandwich, then I get the gas. Normally it hits as

soon as I go to sleep and then hubby is sleeping with a pillow over his face

LOL.

Anyway, any advice you can give would be appreciated as this is sooo new to

me. I feel like I'm just going out in the working world for the first time

in my life, even though I worked at home and made a good salary - I worked

tooo many hours for no OT pay, and got sick. If you work at home, and cannot

remember to eat and do your protein and take the vits, and the refridgerator

is 10 feet from your office, it's time for a change :-)

Now, 155ish... want to go back to 145. (original size 24/26W, now size 4 to 8)

I just can't be bothered mixing up a shake at work, so for my during the day

shakes I use the premixed bottles from GNC, and as everyone is tired of

hearing me say, I munch on beef jerkey!!

I work in beautiful downtown SF, so I almost always buy lunch. My favorites

are the server yourself Chinese buffet, where I can get meat only (sesame

chicken and oyster beef, yum), and the salad bar where I can get a scoop of

chicken salad and a scoop of tuna salad for $2.00. I love this city!
