This sounds interesting. Suzanne has also offered to share her results with me at the conclusion of her study.

Regards,

Pam

Dear listowner,

I wonder if you would permit me to post the invitation (below) to the shydrager forum.

I am a doctoral candidate and licensed psychologist conducting research into the relationship between writing and well-being in caregivers to loved ones with neurodegenerative diseases. My study protocol, including the invitation, has been approved by the University of Minnesota's (USA) Research Participant's Protection Program. Complete information about the study is contained on the study web site. If you would like additional information in order to make your decision, please feel free to contact me via email, or at my office (). Also, FYI, I do not profit financially in any way from this study. I'll look forward to your response. Thanks. Suzanne Candell, MEqLicensed Psychologist (MN3830)cand0002@... (CAREGIVER INVITATION)

Hello!I'm a psychologist and doctoral candidate in Psychology at the University of Minnesota, and am conducting an online study that may be of interest to those caring for loved ones with MSA. The study examines the relationship between writing and well-being in caregivers to persons with neurodegenerative diseases. Caregivers are welcome to participate whether they live with their loved one or not. My interest in caregiver well-being stems from personal experience as part of a family affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. For complete information on the study, go to www.personalityscience.org and click the Neurodegenerative Disease Caregiver Study link. FYI: The first 100 caregivers completing all four sessions of this study will receive a $25(US) gift certificate from Amazon.com as a thank-you. Sincerely, Suzanne Candell, MEqLicensed Psychologist (MN3830)cand0002@...
