Guest guest
>HI Marg, This morning I said the same thing when I took Jerry's BP. I take it every morning and every evening. Some mornings there's a drop like you said and then, like this morning, it hardly seemed to move. Same thing in reverse, some nights his BP goes up real high when he first gets into bed and then other nights it seems just fine. Doesn't seem to make sense but then none of the symptoms seem to make sense to me. One day at a time. How do you explain the unexplainable? Guest guest
My husband's blood pressure certainly flucates from one day to the next , as well as at different times of the day. Some days, it is off the wall, other days it is fairly normal. We also think that it has to do with when he takes his medicine and what he eats, as well as, the problems that go along with the illness. Best wishes to you, Marilyn in TN Reply-To: shydrager Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2002 20:52:22 -0700 (PDT) To: shydrager Subject: Orthostatic Hypotension Hi all I know many of you experience a drop in Blood Pressure on standing but I`m wondering if anyone has noticed that this varies day to day as sometimes mine drops 30systolic/10diastolic and sometimes hardly at all.(On these days I`m convinced I must be getting better ),Anyone else experienced this ? Guest guest
Marg, Rob's blood pressure drop varies also. It often depends on the time of day, when he last had meds, when he last ate, etc. But it always drops -- just the amount varies. I think it's pretty common in this illness to have good days and bad days, often without explaination. Rob was diagnosed 4 years ago and is still quite mobile, withough many of the balance problems that plague others. He has significant autonomic problems and generally has a pronounced drop in blood pressure on standing, yet doen not have a significant problem with high blood pressure when lying down. Go figure!
