There is some new thinking that ADD and ADHD are related to GI insult and can

be demonstrated on a test.

please see: www.LookForHealth.com

If you have questions, email Dr. Fallon. I did this for my child and found it

to be very informational and helpful.

Look For Health LLC Enters Agreement with ACM Laboratories to License Test

Panel for Gastrointestinal Dysfunction in Children with ADD, ADHD and Autism

Monday March 14, 8:46 am ET YONKERS, N.Y., March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Look For

Health LLC has entered into an agreement with ACM Laboratories of Rochester,

N.Y., a subsidiary of Unity Health Systems, Ltd., to license Look For Health's

proprietary test panel for gastrointestinal dysfunction in children with ADD,

ADHD and autism. Under this agreement, Look For Health LLC provides ACM

exclusive rights to market and perform the test panel looking for

gastrointestinal

dysfunction in children with these and other conditions. Financial terms of

the

agreement were not disclosed.

Look For Health's proprietary and patented work has demonstrated that

children with these conditions have gastrointestinal dysfunction. Questions

regarding

the gastrointestinal health of children with autism, ADD and ADHD and other

conditions have been placed into question over the last few years. This test

panel, which examines the child's ability to digest fat and protein, will

allow

the practitioner a definitive window into the child's GI health. Undigested

protein and fat can potentially become allergens and cause substantial

problems

for the child. The test panel further detects the antigenic presence of

pathological bacteria and viruses which can cause illness in the child.

" This is a historic agreement, " states Dr. Joan Fallon, CEO of Look For

Health LLC. " For the first time a full test panel of new technology can be

applied

to examine children with these conditions. These tests will now be performed

by an outstanding U.S. laboratory with tremendous track record of quality and

innovation. "

Further questions concerning this technology can be found at

http://www.lookforhealth.com. The test can be ordered through the Internet by

going to

http://www.lookforhealth.com and clicking through to ACM Labs or by calling

ACM

directly at (877) 863-5597.

For further information, call Dr. Joan Fallon at (914) 779-9300.

This release was issued through eReleases. For more information, visit

New people are moderated until it is established that they are

not going to spam the group.

This is really a great idea as it keeps the list " pure " . However

it is very frustrating for newcomers.

Perhaps an introduction letter could go out explaining they will

be moderated.

It doesn't take long before that stops though. I think I started seeing my posts come up pretty quick. I'm having problems in one of my diabetes groups and I'm about to get upset. I'm being moderated and others are doing the exact same things I am. It's getting old. Take care, Margaret <zztinau@...> wrote:

Having both done at once was great for me. One surgery, one recovery.

When I found out in March that I would need both done within the

year, it only made sense to me to try for that. I had my son home

from college so he could help with my business. I own a

boarding/grooming kennel. Plus DH and I are very active in Master's

events so downtime is not a good thing!

My surgery was pretty long, over 4 hrs, but went well. I had an

epidural so I was awake and aware. Kind of like an auto body

shop...lots of sawing, drilling and hammering!! But enough happy

drugs so I didn't care.

My recovery was way better than I expected. My sweet DH was a big

factor in that, he was able to stay in my room with me and waited on

me hand and foot. I was able to go home in just 2 days, (which was a

record for the hospital) with only crutches. Within a week, I was

walking without them and with OS's approval! I have never looked back!

However, I am not saying having both done at once is for everyone. My

surgeon has some tight criteria: young(relative), strong, lean,

motivated and good bone. I had 2 months to get ready for surgery and

I really worked my butt off to get as strong as I could, even though

I am in pretty good shape anyhow. Paid off though!

Living without all that pain is just wonderful!!

Have been trying unsuccessfully to post to this group. I am a simutaneous bilateral THA. >>> That was a sucessful post . I'm LTHR started ceramic on ceramic and am now ceramic on metal.... I've not been one of the luckier ones of majority but have had a few complications with my THR. Just post the same way you responded it worked that time around. :)

Sounds like the simultaneous surgery went very well for you! I had thought the recovery might be rougher with two at once, but sounds like you did as well (or better) than me with bilateral done 10 weeks apart. My doc would not do both at once. In a way I was glad for the wait since my first side was fairly strong by the time of my second surgery.

I'm sure you need all your strength and ROM to run a kennel!

I do agree that living without that pain is truly wonderful! I am almost 7 weeks post-op from my second surgery and moving quite well ... WITHOUT PAIN!!!

Know-It-All's Test This is a quiz for people who know everything! I found out in a hurry that I didn't. These are not trick questions. They are straight

questions with straight answers. 1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends. 2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward? 3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only two perennial vegetables? 4. Name the only sport in which the ball is always in possession of the team on defense, and the offensive team can score without touching the ball? 5. What fruit has its seeds on the outside? 6. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way.

How did the pear get inside the bottle? 7. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters "dw" and they are all common words. Name

two of them. 8. There are 14 punctuation marks in English grammar. Can you name at least half of them? 9. Where are the lakes that are referred to in the Los Angeles Lakers? 10. There are 7 ways a baseball player can legally reach first base without getting a hit. Taking a base on balls (a walk) is one way. Name the other 6. 11. Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form except fresh. 12. Name 6 or more things that you can wear on your feet beginning with the letter "S." Answers To Quiz: 1. The one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends . . . boxing. 2. North American landmark constantly moving backward . . . Niagara Falls (The rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.) 3. Only two vegetables that can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons . . asparagus and rhubarb. 4. The only sport in which the ball is always in possession of the team on defense, and the offensive team can score without touching the ball . . . baseball. 5. The fruit with its seeds on the outside . . . strawberry. 6. How did the pear get inside the brandy bottle? It grew inside the bottle (The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.) Well, Golly! 7. Three English words beginning with dw . . . dwarf, dwell and dwindle.

8. Fourteen punctuation marks in English grammar . . . period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation marks, brackets, parenthesis, braces, and ellipses . 9. The original lakes referred to in Lakers . . . in Minnesota. (The team was originally known as the Minneapolis Lakers, and kept the name when they moved west.) 10. Seven ways a baseball player can legally reach first base without getting a hit . . . taking a base on balls (a walk) . . . batter hit by a pitch, passed ball, catcher interference, catcher drops third strike, fielder's choice, and being designated as a pinch-runner. 11. The only vegetable or fruit never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form but fresh . lettuce . 12. Six or more things you can wear on your feet beginning with "s" . . shoes, socks, sandals, sneakers, slippers, skis, skates, snowshoes, stockings, stilts. There is another fruit with its seed outside: Cashew. The player can also get to first by a balk committed by the pitcher. The HTML graphics in this message have been displayed.
