Tony,

Here are some sites that may be helpful:

http://www.rimrock.org/html/info/fx_painmed.htm

http://www.drugabuse.gov/NIDA_Notes/NNVol11N2/Analgesia.html

http://www.nih.gov/od/museum/exhibits/opiates/full-text.html

http://www.health.org/catalog/ordersystem2.asp?Topic=57

Want more? I searched in Yahoo advanced search under the " AND " mode with

these words it came up with 1490 hits.

I am not sure about synthetic opiates, but my memory seems to be that while

they are slightly less of a problem, can still have many of the same side

effects. Methadone causes many similar side effects to MSA symptoms (but so

does a large overdose of Soma - a muscle relaxant).

Take care, Bill Werre (Who is about to put the top down and go for a ride

on this beautiful spring day in the Washington-Balltimore area sorry no chat

for me today)

Bill--

Thanks so much for the sites, Bill; I'll investigate and let you know

what I learn.

Ah, a beautiful day in a ragtop. My family had a snazzy midnight

blue '37 Ford V8 coupe with rumble seat (sound familiar, Don

Summers?), and I later owned a '52 Dodge raggy with grey exterior and

red leather interior. Great fun in both, on days - and evenings -

just like these.

Tony,

When I met Charlotte I owned a blue 52 Merc convertible and in 1963 we bought

a brand new 64 Galaxie 500 convertible (red Charlotte picked it). That was a

boat not a car :o) I has a buddy with a 38 Olds coupe with a rumble seat,

great in the summer, lousy in the winter :o)

We drove (top down) up to the Chesapeake Bay and had dinner outdoors on the

water. Red arms today :o) Kids are thinking " second childhood " :o)

Take care, Bill

Bill--

The first new car I bought was a '57 Chevy, basically identical to

the '55 except with great fins and " air intake scoops " over the

headlights -- " Turk & Ivory " -- and one of the neatest cars I have

owned. Straight shift and went like a bat out of hell in any

weather. For one summer I had a (borrowed) MG TD, and that was a

love when it wasn't under repair.

Great memories, huh?
