Guest guest
, We have a square shower and wanted non slip over the whole shower. Instead of a shower mat, we got two sets of the sticky back (peel and tape) ornamental nonslip Rubbermade thingies and put them all over the shower floor. They do wear out over time and it is a pain to replace them, but they work. We too had a occupational therapist come out in 1996 and slowly implemented her ideas over the next few years as they became necessary. Once the patient has a fall, the shower chair and supervision are a necessity. Within a few years (at most) after that the caregiver will have to do the shower, or hire a person to come in and do the bathing. The patient will lose enough control that they will miss places which will cause bedsores. Take care, Bill Werre ------------------------------------------------------- Sennewald wrote: > We are fortunate enough to have a large wheel chair accessible shower with > a fold down bench. Guest guest
, Today at Target I saw a two differerent brands of shower mats not quite as wide as you wanted. These were 18 X 36. They had two kinds with one being the standard rubbermaid one and the other was a soft-poofy looking one with little suction cups on the bottom. If you don't live near a Target let me know and I will send you one. Jean (Phoenix)
