I am 50 and have two grown kids and five grandkids. Now that I have that out

of the way, I am having one heck of a time trying to figure out how to lose

weight. The surgery one year ago, Nov. 7 has managed to get me to 265 from

326. But I can't seem to move forward from there. I joined Weight Watchers

and recently TOPS and for some weird reason my eating has gone into a frenzy

of nightly mini binges on oats, cookies, wendys, or anything bad. So I sit

here night after night on the computer reading messages from everyone who is

successful and wondering what am I going to do now. If there is anybody out

there that would take just a few minutes out of their day and email me a diet

plan....specific diet plan....what to eat for breakfast, for lunch, for

supper...how many protein shakes.......I would be so grateful. I want to get

this weight off....I don't care how...any suggestions would be helpful. I am

desperate. I will do anything at this point. Maybe I should fast? I

thought about getting the Medifast liquid diet off the internet and doing

that. I have tried low carb, counting carbs....then counting fat grams, then

the weight watchers plan.....i feel like i am about to go crazy because i

keep failing at this. Please tell me an easy way to get off a quick 65

pounds...i want to at least get under 200 for heaven's sake.

Pat,

You have asked several times for a list of what people are eating, how many

calories per day people are eating, how many protein shakes, etc. You KNOW

the answers, it is putting the plan in action and sticking with it....and it

will not be easy and it will not be quick. We've already discovered that we

are not going to be one of the WLS patients who watches the pounds fall off

every week no matter what we do or don't do.

Have you been checked for a Staple Line Disruption? If your pouch is intact,

there is nothing else to do other than tackle the difficult task of examining

your behaviors and motivations. You KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that

eating cookies, 's and other " bad " stuff while sitting in front of the

computer and tv is not going to help you move in the direction you want to go

in.

If you just want someone to hand you a list of what to eat, Dr. Atkins and

his induction plan will be happy to provide, but you have that list and a

host of others. What you need must come from within, I and many others want

to give you loving and consistent support, but in the end, you are the

captain of your ship.
