Guest guest
Dodie: Did you get Saving Milly at the book store? and if you did where did you fine it in the book store? I plan on getting it, going to try and get out tomorrow and see if I can pick up a few things and one I hope will be that book. I took Fred to church yesterday for the first time in about four weeks. What with his UTI the one week, my flu and then his cold that he had, we just didn't get there. Fred is always telling me that Pastor has away with God, that God listen's to everything that Pastor ask of him. After yesterday, I now really wonder if God does tell Pastor things, because I know that God does listen to us and I know his been listening to all of us talking about being with him when we're out in the garden. The Sermon yesterday was on how we're with God when we're out in the garden working, How God takes us like we take the flowers and make them into something wonderful. It was just like God told the Pastor what we had been talking about. God always seem's to have a way of showning us his with us, doesn't he.? HUg's Vera Subject: flowers I just finished reading Saving Milly, is she still alive? What a poignant story, hubby says there's quite a waiting list at the library. I feel as though looking into a crystal ball, not good. Belinda and Vera, I have so enjoyed you're gardening exchanges. I had wanted to get into the Master Gardener's program a few years ago, but developed sun sensitivity and had to back off. We have a level corner lot across from two churches, so it's like living in a goldfish bowl. I've tried to arrange some privacy with plants, which has been a real challenge through the years. My neighbor thinks the only plants are edible ones, however, I tuck a few veggies in among the flowers. For a while when I first filled up the yard, I thought it wouldn't work with dogs, but as long as I left their 'path' alone they left the flowers alone, although our old Dane did rearrange my Daylilies. Then, I thought our new Dane would undo everything, she runs wild and treats the flowers as an obstacle course as she careens about and leaps over the planters. So, we CAN have both, flowers and dogs, LOL. I don't know what happened unless lack of rain, but my bulb plants have few blooms and they are drooping, that's not happened before.
