Pam,

In regards to survivors speaking with researchers...

There are many things that I think are important when

considering my father's dx of MSA. For example, he had

a serious head injury about 25 years before he was dx.

Also, as a child he worked on his family farm all

summer, every summer. In an attempt to keep the

chiggers away, my father (then a young boy) would

cover himself in whatever pesticide they were using on

the crops. He did this his entire childhood. Given the

theory that environmental factors might cause MSA, I

would think things like this might be significant to

someone researching the disease. I have let the Drs.

we worked with on the brain donation know this info.

my father (dx MSA 3 years ago) worked in a textile manufacturing plant next

to a chemical plant...for 20 years.. i totally agreed with you.
